- DH| 9 repliesCalled my cell phone before 8:00 AM. Didn't answer since there was no caller ID other than the number and it was too early in the morning to deal with another telemarketer. Bad enough you get called by some of these clowns at all, much less at 7:30 AM!
- Help| 2 repliesThis is HSBC. They usualy issue credit to department store, Circuit City, and Best Buy.
- emily| 2 repliesHSBC - They are a bunch of rude people. I've never answered a call from them simply because it's usually just an automated call but if you ever call them back, they freak out over being even slightly late.
Trust me..... PAY THEM OFF ASAP!!!!!
Unless you can pay your bill down or keep up on monthly payments which are starting to go through the roof,... you will be screwed. They jacked up my interest rate and my minimum doubled. PAY IT OFF!!!- Caller: HSBC Retail - Best Buy
- Becky| 1 replyWe don't owe any money...so don't know why they are calling us...'this is an important message but our operators are busy, please stay on the line..' then you hear a 'click', and then you hear people in the background talking, like they are in a 'phone-calling workroom'.
- lk| 5 repliesthis number continues to call all hrs of day and night and leave no messages - we continue to refuse to answer unsolicited calls from phone numbers unidentifiable.
- StephanieThey continue to call my cell phone early in the morning until late at night. I am not behind on any payments. I have received 54 calls from them since 12/12. Pretty abusive if you ask me. That is just the total number of calls to my cell phone. Who knows how many times they have stalked me on my home number.

- Keith Watson| 3 repliesIn addition to credit cards, HSBC also handle motorcycle loans. I purchased a 2008 Suzuki SV650SF from my local Suzuki dealership. The loan was done through HSBC. It is not a card, but a regular motorcycle loan, which means it's an installment plan, not revolving credit.
Each month I make sure I send my bike payment to HSBC well before the due date. The installment plan comes with a 10 day grace period, which should ensure that even if the mail is running late, HSBC should receive my check before my payment is actually "late," which it's never been.
Each month I receive multiple calls from HSBC, starting on the actual due date for the installment. That is to say the "due date" before the 10 day grace period starts.
Each month I have to go through the same explanation with a number of extremely rude HSBC reps, and usually wind up speaking with a supervisor. The reps ALWAYS tell me that my loan is revolving credit, which it is not, and very arrogantly inform me that there is no grace period at all. I did manage to get one of their supervisors,a woman who identified herself to me as "Somalia (spelled like the country)," no last name given, who verified that my loan is an installment loan and that there is a 10 day grace period.
In addition to receiving multiple calls from these people every single month, even though my check must be sitting on someone's desk while they are harassing me, I have also had them break right into a business call I was on, cutting my party off and putting him on hold. I'm assuming they have equipment that can override call waiting to be able to do this. The first time this happened, I had my call waiting canceled by my phone company, and it never happened again.
They also seem to be able to override being transferred to voice mail. My voice mail is set up to kick in after 5 rings. When HSBC call, the phone will ring 10-15 times before they hang up. Yes, I let it ring because I'm tired of dealing with these people. They will get their check every month, but I now refuse to speak to them.
One of the numbers HSBC call me from is 8006956950.- Caller: HSBC

Yes, I do have a loan with them, and yes I too missed a call last week from them, and I too did not want to talk to them so I went online and made my pymnt. Wow, hard.... Answer your phone people!
- dead broke replies to Help| 1 replythey also handle financing for polaris....do not get sucked into this trap...unlike a car loan polaris will offer you financing that sounds like an alright deal...all they are giving you is hsbc financing with a high interest rate and a revolving balance just like a credit card...I have a minimum $120 payment and out of that $30 is applied to the principal...if you get behind they will call and call and call.....

- Caller: HSBC Collection Agency

- VegasGalHSBC isn't a "collection agency"... it's a credit company that used to issue retail credit cards for companies like OfficeMax. They cancelled the cards for most of the retailers, but they still hold the accounts. These calls are coming from the company's in-house collection department, which is totally different from a third party collection agency.
As with any other credit card collection department, their systems have automatic triggers -- when your account is X days late, they start calling. ALL the credit card companies do this.
Even if you DO talk to them and tell them why you're late and when you'll pay, unless you can schedule a payment date while you're on the phone, the calls will keep coming. That's not the caller's fault - it's the automated system. Again, they all do it. And the caller can't see any notes that have been made in your file until AFTER they have you on the line. I was told this is a privacy issue. I suppose that makes sense -- you wouldn't want them sitting there reading your file for fun.
What's annoying is that they call continuously and never leave a message. I gave them only my cell phone number, since it has caller ID. Because I'm tired of giving them the same explanation of why and when, I've put their number into my contacts list and put "no ring" for the tone... now, I just get a beep when I've missed their call. I talk to them about once a week now, when it's convenient for ME. If I had anything new to tell them, or the money to pay them, I'd do it. Unfortunately, it's not possible just yet.- Caller: HSBC Retail Services

- Ryan replies to VaderThat's easier said than done for people who run into problems such as LOSING THEIR JOB! No matter what you explain to these people who you can barely understand they continue to call 10+ times a day and leave no message!
