I would be happy to join the class action suit!  If this has happened to any lawyer out there, and wants to file a class action lawsuit on our behalf, you would make a lot of people VERY happy!

Did the FTC do anything to stop the calls?

How do you go about reporting this illegal activity to the FTC?  Do they have a website for this kind of harassment?

This ought to be enough information to submit to the FTC !  Have you reported this harassment?  The dates of these posts go back a long time and the calls are still coming to me.  Anyone thought of submitting a Class Action Suit?

They have been calling me for over a year!  It goes to the home phone and my cell phone.  I don't have any credit cards with this company!  So what can all of us do?    Any lawyers out there that want to take this on for FREE????

They have been calling me for more than a year! And many, many times during the day and night.   I just kept deleting the calls.  I just happened to find this site and I am glad I did.  

Most of these posts are from people who are mad at this company, and a few have offered suggestions, but those haven't stopped the calls.  There must be lawyer reading this who can file a class action suit on HSBC for violating the Fair Debt Collectors Act.  Based on the number of posts, a lawyer would have quite a courtroom full of people who would love to see this company BURN!

Getting calls from this number, answering and no response on the line--they just hang up. When I don't answer they don't leave a message. My number is on the National Do Not Call List.

I'm getting 8 to 10 calls a day from this number, at all times and days too. When I answer it they don't say anything.

11/27/11 -- They just called me -- it's Sunday morning and the call cam in at around 8:30-8:45 a.m.!  Please help do something, ANYTHING to get this stopped.

They call all hours of the day and night. No one on the other end.They are calling my 91 year old mother who has no account with them. How can I stop this .

Maybe you should take the initiative to conntact an attorney rather than drop multiple hints for others to do this for you.

Tired of whoever these [***] are that keep calling, hanging up, and phishing for account information. I have never once spoken to a person on the other end. Mostly hang up after I answer, put on hold with gay music, and once had an automated try to get account information from me.

THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING MY HOME, I COUNTED 43 TIMES IN ONE DAY.  THEY ARE CALLING AT 5:00 A.M. ALL THE WAY UNTIL MIDNIGHT.  PLEASE HAVE THEM STOP!!!

They keep calling me and I don't know how they got my number?

I received 3-5 calls a day from this number.  They never leave a message and when I do answer they hang up.  I'm told it is HSBC calling for Best Buy.  I have already spoke to them about being late and have made a promise to pay and yet this number still calls.

HSBC is a parent credit card bank/co.forother banks and retailer' who want to provide customers with their own co. credit.BEST BUY is but only one of the ?X HSBC accounts.BEST BUY is probably not legally liable(but may drop hsbc for say BofA)for any infractions,by HSBC collection dept, of the FAIR CREDIT COLLECTIONS BILL enforced by theFTC. You can file a claim against a credit coll. agency through the FTC-go to their website (.gov)-Or your states Attorney General's Office. I don't know if this applies to a Specific CO./Bank due to actions or practices of their Collections Depart. Obviously,pressure(spelled-threat to their Co.'s profit)- at the top by "pressure" to Co Bd of Trustees(HSBC/BEST BUY)by a National SENATOR or REPR.(either or all/ from your state,the state the Co.'s National HQ is in, or An appropriate Committee Chairman. Also use the state  congressmen from your and the CO.HQ state.It's in their interest not to loose Big Revenue(sp.-taxes,campaign $,+votes)
