Yeah...WOW back atcha!  Nooooo....It's not a scam at all...and at this point Verizon can get your phone number taken off their list of bad account holders!  Don't bother to talk if you don't know what you're talking about...and you don't!  You add more to the problem than the solution.

Bills is paid so why are they calling? They send notices on my CELL phone & e-mail! If I'm late they send email cell phone , etc. Not my home phone! Besides they don't have my home phone #. Sounds like a scam to me.

Called verizon at 611 regarding the text. CS rep said they keep track of all texts messages they send to your phone & they have no record of this text.

When verizon calls, they state that it is verizon calling, it is that familiar voice of verizon (female voice) - This number does not identify itself. Verizon or any major company would not be so sneaky as to NOT identify themselves.

They are debt collectors. If you don't want to deal directly with them just make your payment by dialing 611. if you go this route bypass the prompt to make an immediate payment by first selecting main menu and then choose the payment option.

i think its a fraud, i don't have any balance due. they want to collect personal information and use later to apply for credit

vot this call from Verizon services too. 800-754-0961.   Stating a reference number which I know is a hoax.  Just sharing this.

This is not a scam it is Verizon Wireless, due to non-payment or an overdue bill. If you pay your bill on time and have no other business they won't call you. They have much better things to do with their time. Make sure you know what you are writing here, this is for people really want to know who is on the other side of their line.

This is a real computerized number from verizon. Just letting you know need to make arrangements to pay before service interrupted.

just got a call from a number that told me to call the Verizon 1.800.794.0961.  before I called, I made sure to look at my last payments (I am up to date).  I called anyhow because I was worried something was wrong...it is an automated line that tries to get you to tranfor to T-Mobile or let you know you won a Bahamas vacation, etc.  you can't press 0 to get an operator...SCAM!!!

They call and no one answer just hang up.also this number is missing a number.can anyone help us. Have a seven member family with kids.

8007540961. Is Verizon financial Dept.   I had to call it because 20 mins after I had Paid my bill... It sent a warning text Re bill payment... I had to call because they didn't know what the automated system had already done.... They had to note acct so it was seen...... 😕😕

Not a scam.  I've had Verizon for years and get a call from them from this number when I have missed a payment arrangement or something like that.  Perfectly legit.  I appreciate this call as sometimes I forget to make my payment.  I have never received a call from this  number unless I have missed a payment.  Always just a recording to remind you to contact them.

I just received an IM. This is a scam. They tell me my account is past due but I don't have Verizon service. I use another provider.

Um, I got this call, my bill is paid up, and it was regarding my brother's account. Furthermore, I looked up the reference number, as it very closely resembles a phone number and it is an AT&T number.

It is really annoying that if It is a Collection Debtor from Verizon.
They don't identified like that.
They don't let name to who are trying to reach.

Verizon please be aware to be accurate  because At this times there are many  scams companies.

actually is VW. My bill was overdue and I paid it online then called number, they new right away that a payment was posted, so unless they've hacked the system completely, it's VW.
