Same as the others. Same message and number but I’ve never gotten a message from Verizon using that number or link. Never use a number or link given in a voice mail or text. If you have Verizon use your app or look up the number.

804-588-3159 is where the call came from but the 800 number was provided for call back.

I received a phone call saying i needed to return a call to 1-800-754-0961 within 24 hours to discuss an issue with my account with Verizon.  I DO have an account with Verizon, but the way the call came in I didn't trust it.  I call through my cell phone to 611 and spoke to a very nice gentleman who informed me that they in fact HAD NOT attempted to contact me and nothing was amiss with my account.  He confirmed that this was most likely a spam call.

Apparently they've gotten wiser, I got called by them, but they didn't say they were Verizon. They just said to call back at this number and my "code" is my phone number. What is wrong with people?

I have been receiving calls claiming to be from Verizon financial department. It comes from various numbers but always directs me to call 800.754.0961. The call also leaves a 10 didgit reference number that I'm to use which is 555 555 5555. I called verizon direct and my account is fine. Also I called one of the numbers it originated from and it went to a voice mail that had a full in box.

This is not Verizon My mom just got the scam call this morning. asking her to pay her bill over the phone. The thing is we just spent half the day yesterday at Verizon getting her stuff all straightened out and paying her account in full. She went back to the store a few minutes ago to check and make sure all was OK and the Verizon man told her this is not even a Verizon number. Do not give out your info people more [***] thieves at work.

Bogus call claiming to be from Verizon Wireless.  It is a scam.  They want social security numbers and names and addresses.  Why can't criminal operations like these be shut down?

I have received a voice mail and 2 texts asking me to call this number because my Verizon bill is overdue.  It isn't.  I mailed a check at the beginning of the month and it has cleared my bank.  The last text asked me to pay $50 by 1/28.  It's obvious this is a scam.  They have also called twice from 508-441-3367, which I didn't answer.  They did leave a voice mail asking me to call this fraudulent number.  Let them waste their time.

Just recieved a call this morning. Left a message claiming to be verizon financial services and saying to call 800-754-0961. I cant believe this scam is still going on. Glad I thought to look up the number before calling.

Scammers have been using this number for a LONG time: 800-754-0961. Robo call actually came in from 210) 202-3315‬.

How in the world has Verizon let this scam, in their name, go on for 12 years already?!?!? Seriously, the first mention of this on this page is 2008. Same number to call back. I know they call from doin umbers everytime but THEYRE giving the same number for people to call and “pay their supposed bill”. You would think a phone company could work with other phone companies and find out who owns this 1800 number.

I also feel sorry for those victims who have had their numbers spoofed. I know first hand how it feels because happened to my husband as well. We have had lots of mad people calling asking why we keep  calling them).

Scam after looking at this thread

I just received the same message as above using one of the numbers on my account. However the phone number that showed up on my phone was a local number. Please don’t call back! It is a scam.

I just received a call and voicemail regarding my phone account. Based on the reviews, I will not be returning their call.
