they called me a couple days in a row now, and asked for my mom, who is the primary number on the account, why are they calling my number expecting to get ahold of her...
legit or not???

what if bills are paid up to date and full....huh??? then why would they call multiple times regarding the account...

Ive been called by this number around the same time for the past 3 days and all ive heard is a low buzzing noise...

Pay your bills... this IS Verizon and they are calling you deadbeats to pay "yo celly bill".  

Just stop your feeble attempts at search engine poisoning... everyone sees through it and all we do is laugh at you as you live beyond your means.

Those of you who have auto pay... just adjust the dates with your bank.  They don't do electronic transfer, they are getting a check, and it might have arrived late.  You know, post office and all.

Wow, so there's a place where sociopaths can get "work" (if you can call it that) - Verizon Collections!

yes this is Verizon. My cell is past due and I confirmed it is their office calling to get the bill taken care of.

I don't even have a Verizon account and I never have. Now I know why.  They suck.   I called the 800 number to let them know that they have been calling me daily and then they asked for my SSN.   I wouldn't give it to them so they said they couldn't help me and they are sorry.  Idk if it is phishing but its definitely annoying.

My bill is paid on time every month, I do NOT live beyond my means and am NOT a deadbeat. THIS IS A SCAM PEOPLE! Legit businesses do not call customers over and over daily and not leave a message. It has gotten so incredibly easy to find customer info and SEEM legitmate these days. Thus fooling people like you. I guess the name fits "ID1OTS".

Not all ARE Verizon customers.  If you read through you'll find quite a few who have NEVER had an account with Verizon.  In my few experiences with bill collectors, they always leave a message on their final attempt to call you of the day.  This number never EVER leaves a message.  I don't really know if it is phishing or not but I know I'm not going to answer it.

So do I! I keep receiving 1800-754-0961 calls! Will they ever stop?!?!

1) Verizon will ALWAYS show up as Verizon on caller ID.....Always. No Exceptions
2) Check your bill / statement.....Verizon calls are never charged...ever. No Exceptions.

Do what I did and report the number.

WRONG.  Verizon DOES use electronic transfer.  They want me to sign up for it but I haven't.  When you send them a check they scan it and handle the rest of the transaction electronically.  

I think ID10Ts is one of the scammers.  

For anyone who is in doubt, if you get a call from this number go to your local phone book or the Verizon web site and get a phone number.  Call that number to confirm you are up to date on your bill.

Have received 4 calls in 2 days from this number.  Also received a few more in September. I listed my cell number on the "do not call" registry on 10/1/2010 but understand you have to wait one month before you can report callers.  I also understand bill collectors are not included on the do not call list.  I do have verizon and I do not have an outstanding bill.  I do not pick up when I see an 800 number come on my screen and they have not left a message.

You are incorrect, I just called Verizon personally and asked them about this number. They said the number in no was was associated with them. She told me no payments are overdue and never have been and advised me to never answer these calls.

It IS a scam. I don't care how legitimate they try to make it seem, I just talked to customer service and they said this number is in no way shape or form associated with Verizon Wireless. She advised me to not answer it and definitely not give them any information.

Once again, this is NOT Verizon. I've had this confirmed a few times because they keep calling me at weird times asking for someone who isn't even the account holder. Customer service has told me that this number is in no way shape or form associated with Verizon Wireless and advised me not to pick up and definitely not give any information.
