Call alleged our son owed money (not true)and they were a debt collection agency

Received a call on answering machine. Caller requested that I call and that it was important. Also said that they were AMCA (female said "this is "Z")

To the person who said they get voice mail messages from this number asking for Carla - ME TOO! Its either cindy or carla, and I have been getting these messages for the last 2 or 3 months! Its super annoying and there is no way this is legit because this is a new phone. (i.e. new number) They should't have it.

When I answered after 2 rings, there was no one there.

no one answers this number when i am called--just get a recorded message.
i have filed a complaint both with the federal trade commission and the no call list.
i suggest all of you folks should call write or go online to complain--
action will be taken--this phone number 800-804-0057 may be breaking the law with it's phone practices.    peace love and light

I have had repeated calls and I get no answers when I call back. I have been trying to get my credit back togther and if this is another collection agency I think I might scream.

they call at all hours, and just leave a voice mail to call between 8am and 5pm. says they are not a sales call.

I get a recorded robotic message asking for "Joe Doe. If I am Joe Doe then I should hold on for an important message. If I am not Joe Doe then I should hang up. If I continue with the call I am certifying that I am Joe Doe." It sounds very professional and scary (my poor mother would hold on, listen to the call, and probably send them money!) This is terrible and an obvious fraud.

I keep getting repeated calls from this 800 number although I currently have no outstanding debt issues....yet they continue to call?!  When I call the number back I get an automated voice message relating to RMCBAMCA Debt Collection Agency!

They left messages on my new cell phone.  I haven't given my number out to anyone.  I called from my home phone today.  They are a debt collection agency.  They were looking for someone else who probably had my cell phone number before I did.  They removed my number from their computer.  I believe them because I received another local call from a girl looking for the other person.

Collection Agency...they do not remove your number even when you ask them to....they keep calling every hour of everyday..harrassing you.

how can i get a bill with absolutely no info and be asked to pay a debt??

i had to spend over an hour sorting this crap out when it is most likely failure in the medical system with my dr and this stupid scummy company.

Thank you very much for this information - I got several messages - a woman stoddering and not saying for whom it is. I will put in a complaint with the DA right away, since they are violating my "do not call list" - because I do not have one cent of depth - therefore no reason to "brake the no call rule"

Cal - I am getting the same call - the good news - it is on my voicemail so that it does not cost me anything or get to me directly. I have just sent this collection agency an email asking if the 800-804-0057 is the one of their corect call back numbers - hopefully they will respond! You are correct, any professional collection agency contacts you by mail first. I can only imagine that some crook is using their name. I will certainly put in a complaint with the FCC and also with the NY Attorney General if I find out that it is indeed the NY based firm RMBC -

I have gotten this call 3 times now as well - every time I call back, nothing happens - no ring and nobody picking up. The message says that it is the 3rd attempt to collect a debt - I have no outstanding debt. Does anyone know whether this is a scam?
