These people call me 4-6 times a day starting soon after 8:00 a.m. I have caller ID so don't answer but am tired of having to go look whose calling even if I'm pretty sure it's no one I want to talk to.

They asked for me by name. Then asked if the last 4 digits of my SSI was XXXX. I said no. which is true.  BLOCKED!

I keep receiving calls from this number. They say there's a sprint bill I owe from five years ago. Since I've had spent all along until last year they never contacted me about this bill. Switch carriers from sprint in good standing this is a scam.

This number calls me every day, several times a day and never leaves a message.

It's called skip-tracing and, by federal law, they are allowed to contact your work unless told otherwise.

Yes, it is called "skip tracing", but calls to PoE are often a cheap excuse to harass and shame a person whose personal number and address is already known to the debt collector. That "by federal law" is an abuse of the provision for *limited* calls to non-debtors. Fortunately the FDCPA you've borrowed as an alias doesn't care who at the workplace revokes permission to call.

800-806-3342 is a scam run by a travel agceny front out of the Dominican. They come to town get your information and sell your identity as best they can.

And 800-806-3342 try to sell bogus timeshare vacations. Dont give these slezeballs a penny.

I receive about 10 calls throuout the day (everyday) and feel it to be extremely excessive and harassing. If it is a collection agency,  isn't there any laws against this type of collecting (aka: stalking or something)? What can I do to put a stop to these calls? If it is a collection agency for Sprint,  I already talked to a representative (whom I asked to note/ document my account) that I will be paying the entire bill and late fee by the 15th...and my service will be back on. So its not necessary for a collection company to call, and especially as excessive as they are.

Also....When I mentioned that I talked to a representative....I meant to say that I spoke to a real Sprint Rep who noted the account. Should I call Sprint again (10x per day) to ask them to put a stop to this crazy s**t? Any helpful advice is appreciated.  I am serious... and it is becoming a really big problem in our family household. We been through a horrible tragedy causing us to get behind on our bills....but working hard to get back on track. We dont need this at all, and I just want to cry when I see my caller ID with Allied Inters name. Thanks.....Jamie ( Mom )

I get a total over over 20 calls a day for University General Hospital...I have asked these people to please quit calling my work # because the person(s) they are looking for are no longer working here.

It's Allied Interstate, a debt collection company. I've had the displeasure of having to deal with them every two years or so for debts that are not ours. My husband has a common name and there is a person with his name that runs up alot of medical bills and doesn't pay them. When we bought our house we had to get eight items, including court cases, removed from his credit report. Every two years or so these idiots start the calls, 4-5 a day, looking for the person with my husband's name. Just Google Allied Interstate and go to their home page and contact them. I filled out the form, told them to stop calling me and sent it. Within 15 minutes I got an email back saying they are looking for the person with my husband's name, no other info. I had told them if they can't tell me anything or leave me a message then stop calling. They wanted my address so they could confirm if it was my husband. I wrote back and said no dice. You tell me the address you have, plus the last four of the SS# of the person you are looking for, PLUS verify in writing the debt and who it's to. If you can't do that, stop contacting me. That's all you have to say to them--verify the debt in writing or you are contacting an attorney and they will stop.

Still getting calls from this number.  Got two today so far. I never answer, and no message is ever left. I don't answer calls from names and numbers I don't know.

Had to block this number again.  I must have unblocked it by mistake.

This is a collection agency...doing its collection...annoying thing....they were looking for my exhusband...they said they would take my number off their list.....as we live in different states...30 years later???
