- B"Dead air" call, I said hello, they said "click" after 5 seconds. Reporting it to the FCC. (The FTC admits they do nothing with do not call complaints, it's up to state DA's to pull that list and decide if they want to go after anyone. The FCC, however, will follow up if enough people complain.)

- VSI am on somebody's hit list. I have been getting lots of phone calls and when I look them up they are on these lists. I have been reporting to FCC. This # calls 5- 6 times a day. They start at 8:05 am them 10 am then noon then 3 pm, 5 pm, 7 pm, last call is 9 pm. This has been going on for 2 months. Most of the other #'s have stopped once I don't answer but this one just keeps calling. I am on DO NOT CALL LIST as well. That does not help. It only allows you to report the calls.
Thank you to those people who find out the detailed info. That helps when you fill out the forms for the FCC.- Caller: unknown
- VSThis one someone reported as ADG Research with a # of 352-672-6055 ext 303 and the CEO as Wayne R Blanchard. I guess we can risk calling him and see if he takes us off or adds us to another list. I just got my 6 pm call this evening. I have reported to FCC and FTC today on the web. So I will give it a few days to see what happens. I gave all the info above plus web info and other info that I have gotten.

- Billy Joe| 1 replyWhy would the person calling curse me out when I told him that I do not want to give my opinion?
Do these people get paid per successful call? They could fake opinions if they were smart enough!
The Do Not Call List does not apply to politicos -- as if these jokers really care anyway.
It's a shame we can't get their actual phone number so we could call them and take up their time.- Caller: ??

answer, nobody there
call back and get incredibly insulting message before you can key in your number. Just hitting "1" doesn't do it--you need to stick with it to the very end to be sure you've completed the process. I wish I knew the name of the "political outreach organization"!- Caller: don't know

- micah replies to JeffPoliticians are exempt from the no-call list.
- Steve Sybesma replies to Jeff| 8 repliesThere are three entities that have always been exempt from NDNC...the service is worthwhile for all the others, which used to be the majority of what I got.
The three are:
1. charities
2. surveys
3. political
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm
(read #29 and #30)
However, what some organizations sometimes do is pretend to be one of the three, but then turn the call so that it is actually a telemarketing call posing as an excepted call.
The FTC really wants to know about it when you run into these fakers and they will go after them.
(Personally, I think doing that should at least triple the penalty, because they knew what they were doing.)
Please do your due diligence when reporting, because that is the only way these SOBs will get busted.
That is your contribution to help yourself and everyone else.
If you're lazy and only sit on your butt and whine in these groups instead of reporting violations on the DoNotCall.gov site after you registered all your phone numbers, nothing will get accomplished.
This is mostly for alerting people to who is behind the phone number that is calling you.
