I too just had 12.00 taken out of my checking account and I want to know who the f*** these people are

My husband ordered pizza online from Pizza Hut and next credit card statement there is a charge from Complete Savings.  My husband and I are both very savvy online and normally catch this kind of garbage and nip it in the bud but we missed this.  Called Complete Savings and had to listen to this long and aggravating spiel about how great their program was before I could choose to speak to a customer service agent.  Finally got a CSR who had no doubt dealt with this situation MANY times before.  Her patronizing "I know you are frustrated" just served to tick me off even more and I told her so.  Was told "this has nothing to do with Pizza Hut" when I told her I intended to complain to them.  CSR was quick to cancel my subscription but only agreed to deduct the current charge on my bill after I firmly insisted that she do so or I would start filing complaints against their company.

This tactic may not be illegal but it sure borders on it!  No matter what the CSR says I firmly intend to contact Pizza Hut and let them know what happened and that I will no longer be using their online feature to order until this little scam is shut down.  Whether it is Pizza Hut, a sponsor of their website or their Web designer who is doing this...surely Pizza Hut has a way to say "no thanks" to this company and their sneaky little "sales" tactic.

Just to add another possible source.  I believe this company crammed my credit card as a result of signing up for a year subscription to a magazine through one of the many "Discount" savings websites that proliferate the internet.  I think It was for a Sound and Vision magazine subscription for 3.50$ that I signed up for back in April.  Needless to say I have been charged three times now at 12 bucks a pop and have not yet seen or expect to see an issue of the magazine......

Update to my post immediately above.  The company indicated to me they would refund my money 3-5 days when I called them this morning.  The were very courteous about it and it did not require anything more than a simple request on my part.  Just to set the record straight, my charge actually came about as a result of an online purchase from EB Games.

I had a 12.00 charge on my credit card just a few days ago, and noticed it tonight. I saw the phone number on the charge on my account and I went to this site and found out what this was. I had ordered from Pizza Hut recently so thought that is where it was from. I called the number and she said she would cancel the membership and I told her to refund the 12.00. I said Pizza Hut had no business doing this, and she said it wasn't Pizza Hut, but when I had ordered an item from Collections.com online and used my credit card. I will see now if they do what they said and cancel this rip off charge.

I rec'd charge on my credit on 6/7/09 and 7/7/09 $12 each which I never signed or accept on any agreement to complete saving. We need to have the Federal Police to investigate and stop this kind of stealing.

Same thing happened to me when ordering contacts through Vision Direct. I called Vision Direct and gave the poor gal at the call center a complete earful. I have no memory of giving any consent to signing up for this company's "services." What a complete scam. What is even worse: The credit card they had for me was for an "HSA" account; I could've gotten into trouble if a non-health-related expense was charged to that card.

I just checked my checking account on line, and noticed a $12 charge as well,. I had no idea what that charge was for until I looked the # up on line! I am so pissed off at Pizza Hut for giving my private banking information out!!! I do intend to call and get a full refund right when they open!!! I agree, we should all get together and file a Class Action Lawsuit against them!!! It's illegal and unethical!!!! Angel in Colorado!!!!

Beware.  I had not realized until now that I am being charged for $12 a month by completesavings.com.  It was after I ordered from Pizza Hut online.

I also saw a $12 charge on my account. I am NOT happy about this!!! I received an instant credit on my account but the nerve of pizza hut for giving out my info. I called the 800# and the rep was very understanding and cancelled my "membership"....I still can help wondering what else is going to pop up as a result of this. I'm so pissed!!

I went to VisionDirect.Com and it charged me $12.00 for Complete Savings a month later. I "authorized" it by accepting it on the bottom of the page. They offer a discount on the item you are purchase to get you to say yes and authorize a monthly fee. I do NOT remember this and they are now refunding me.

I ordered a costume 3 months ago from buycostumes .com and apparently i signed up for some saving, which is a bunch of crap.  I called them at 800-826-1885 and apparetnly they have charged me 3x 12.00 =36.00 I told them that i NEVER signd for this even though he tried to explain to me that they try to make it very clear.  I told him I was never asked nor did I ever agree to ANY type of savings with them.  I told him I need all of my money back that they STOLED from me because I NEVER authorized any of it.  He said that it will be refunded within 3 business days.  I told him I will be calling him back If I do not receive any money back and I have desputed these charges with my bank, so they are blocked!  WHAT a SCAM  I never order things onlie for this reason.  I only did it b/c I was in desperate need of a benjamin franklin costume for my sons presentation for school!

I had the same thing happen to me. I checked my receipts & figured out what happened. I ordered a book from Barnes & Noble on-line, and there was this little box asking if I'd like to save $20.00 on my next purchase. That sounded good so I filled out the info. The next thing I know there's this charge on my bank records from completesavings.com for $12.00. I didn't realize I was joining a membership where they were going to take out $12.00 monthly from my acct. When I clicked the little box to save 20.00 on my next purchase they didn't tell me then what I was getting into. I called them and cancelled (You only get a recording of course), but they just tell you that your last payment was 12.00. Nothing about a refund. You can't talk to a person so you're stuck. WHAT A SCAM!!

When I called and asked about the charge they said it was from ticketmaster.  There was an option to get $20 off my next ticket purchase, so I figured why not.  There was nothing I saw that indicated I would be joining "Complete Savings".    

I explained this to them and told them to cancel my "membership" and refund my money.  They were rather nice, so I guess it happens a lot.  Hopefully I will get my money back.  If not they will be hearing from me again.
