Got a call from this number this morning I never answer calls and they did not leave a message. I have never  banked with Chase but my son does and he has stopped making mortgage payments so I figure they somehow have gotten my number and are trying to make contact. I am just going to change my cell phone number since I only use it for personal use it really is not a big deal.

There are websites such as Onesuite.com where you can get online numbers, people can fax something to you or call and leave a message. In either case it will send you an email attachment, pdf / wav file. Your number will never change when you move and it's a nice way to filter calls. You got something to tell me? Leave your name and number and a message, and maybe I'll call.

this number (800-848-9380) calls my house every  2 hours asking for my parrents when i say that they arent there they hang up before i can tell them a good time to call & they never call when my parrents are home

Heck, They are hounding me about someone else's mortgage!
They have actually taken my number out of their system before and the calls stopped for a couple of months; now I am also getting them at work.
You cannot send them a "do not call me" letter like is suggested. They are actually outside of the country and are not Chase-Manhattan at all. They won't talk to me about this problem because I do not have a customer number. Yet, they still call me wanting someone else's mortgage paid.
I tried call Chase direct -same thing- you have no customer number we can't talk to you.
After 9 months or more of this I am so tired of it. I am finally doing something severe about it. I  am contacting the attorney general's office tomorrow morning. After that I am suing Chase.

Only requirement is you must not actually be one of their customers.

Chase Mortgage: The callers are in the Phillipines and calling us in the US. Talk about Bail Out and outsourcing...You can ask them where they are located and they will tell you they are from the Phillipines.

Got called over 7 times this weekend to all the contact phone numbers we had given to WAMU  originally and now Chase Mortgage has.   We have an autopay set up with Chase and some times it is a few days past due because of paycheck schedules.  
They certianly are relentless and do not wait for the 15 day grace period to expire.  

We have been making two house payments for the last year and a 1/2 because of having to move to find a job.

Can't wait for the housing market to improve enough for us to sell that place.  Chase will never have my business for anything if I can help it.

They only want your info.... They have been calling me for about 2 month now.  They start it to call my job and now they got my cell. But went you ask them specific questions about my "chase account" they can never answer.. They want my address so bad and I never give it to them. They are now starting the conversation saying that they need my address to verified the call and they will not go any farther on the conversation until I give them the address.. I do not give them my address ..  I then call Chase and they said that it was not them that call. so Who are this people....

This is CHASE HOME FINANCE making sure you are going to make a payment on time for the month.Or if you are involved in a home modification program,you need to answer it they may need more documentation or you will NOT get your loan modification approved.

you have someone that uses to live at the address that either has a home loan with them OR owes money on a credit card and they will call your last 10 addresses they don't care at all!

I got a voicemail on my emergency only pay-as you-go cell phone yesterday (8/24) time stamped @ 1:19 pm. Voice ID'ed as "Otis Chief Winston" from Chase(?) in accented, garbled English & gave a 7 digit extension#. I don't have a Chase mortgage and don't give out this rarely used cell#! Who is otis?

I just added my phone number to it.  Time will tell if it worked.

Got a voice mail recording asking me to stay on the line for an important message.  Then a live person asked for my ex, by name, or me and said "hello, hello?" and hung up.  
When I listened to my voice mail, my antennae went up because the only thing that still has my ex's name on it is my house loan.  I received the house in the divorce (I sold my house when we married, used the $$ for this house--so I got the house).  I wondered why the call.  Looked at Chase website and OOPS, I had made my mortgage payment, online with my Credit Union bill pay, to my Chase credit card......which had no balance due.  I showed a credit on my credit card for the mortgage payment amount.
I called Chase, talked to a few people, they are moving the payment from credit card to mortgage with no late fees as it was just an honest mistake on my part and the payment was "on time" just the wrong account.
So, in my case, the voice mail helped me figure out that something was amiss and I'm glad they tried to contact me.

I hate the fact that they do not leave any kind of message.  Not even please contact Chase blah, blah, blah.  Remind me? Fine but not 5 calls a day with no message.  I know they can't state details, but come on.  I have a friend that says Wells Fargo does the same thing and calls up to a week after she pays on 15th.  Makes her significant other think she isn't taking care of the bills.

At least some of you get a message.  They won't get any payment if they keep calling me while at work.  I keep my cell phone on vibrate due to kids, but boss gets aggravated when goes off so much in one day.  I even scheduled mine on their website (no fee) ahead of time.

When it was WAMU the DID a 3 month hardship extension with no problem.  I had to give them all the details as to why, which was no problem.  Then I still needed more time, and ended up having to file for a modification.  See an attorney.  It took a year to get the modification, but after all the crap, a lawyer sent a fax wherein I stated that I gave permission for them to speak to him about my account. Amazingly, just 3 days later they called to say my modification had been approved.  I bugged them constantly, so can only assume that the letter was what made them make the decision.  The attorney never had to talk to them at all (I did have him look over the mod agreement before sending)  Good luck, it can be done.  Oh, Chase is calling AGAIN>>>

Ask an attorney to intervene on your behalf.  With your situation, legal aid should be able to find someone to do pro-bono.  You have enough on your plate to deal with (I am amazed they don't call on weekends, they call me everyday).  Just now as a matter of fact. Write a letter and address to all politicians in your area and up to the White House.  There has to be a fine line that the mortgage companies (that WE are all supporting with payments and tax bill bailouts) should be brought to account not to cross.  I wish you the best.  Don't give up.  If you receive an Assignment and Substitution of Trustee notice, it could be iminent tht you could lose your house.  DEFINITELY seek legal help.

Did you find out if it was a scam.The same letter was left on my front door today also.  Can you tell me anything about it.

I have been receiving nonstop phone calls from this number asking for George Poole and have been left numerous voice mails asking for him.  I have told this company many times they have the wrong number; but they continue to call.

Receiving call for unknown person.   Person they ask for does not work here.  They have been told not to call.

Seeing the number on here first, I knew it was Chase the next time they called.  So I decided to pick it up.  After all, I have an account with Chase.  I wasn't planning on divulging any personal information, just wanted to see what they were calling about.

So I pick up the phone and a recording says "Please hold for an important call". haha.... No thanks. click.

Whenever I call them for something, I"m on hold forever.  Now they're calling ME, I answer, and they STILL are going to put me on hold? Hahaha...no thanks guys.  I'm current with my payments, so I"m not going to get on hold just to tell them that.
