Did not receive a call, but a notice hung on front door with a small copy of a notice with "Important, Please Call 1-800-848-9380  Please be ready to give your account number"
Definitely a scam.  The number requests your account number or social.  DO NOT CALL OR GIVE ANY INFO!!!

I work for Romanoff Electric Co., LLC I have been getting call from this number. I have told them repeatedly to take the number off of there call list. They always hang up when I answer the phone. This is a place of business.

I get the phone calls too...starting on the 6th.  VERY annoying.

I want these calls stopped immediately!  These people call my cell & home # constantly & they just now woke me up with a call at 2:00 a.m.!  I'm going to report them to the BBB!  They say they are trying to collect a debt - I don't owe Chase a debt!!!

Andre is using the usual collection tactics yelling(capital letters), making untrue threats and lying they all do it, its in their DNA.

This is very BIZARRE>>>> Some lady in white care and camera staked out the property and left a plain white envelope with this 800 number.  I was looking for the black helicopters but to no avail.

I did call Chase and let them be aware that this type of behavior may endanger whomever they are hiring to deliver the cloak and dagger messages...

I received a call from this #, I answered, and no one was on the other end

I got a call from 480-902-6000, said it was Chase Bank and to please return the call at 800-848-9380.
I didn't return the call, preferring to check here first... & for good reason!

According to various reports on this website, both are Chase Bank and/or both are phishing attempts.

I have also received email phishing attempts saying, "There is a problem with your Chase Bank account. If you do not contact us immediately, your account will be frozen." Pretty scary, but I have never used Chase bank, which makes it all pretty obvious.

There are also reports on this website saying 800-848-9380 is a Bad Check scam, (like, trying to scare you into sending them a check.)

There are also reports on this website saying it's a "Corvette Club," also some kind of scam.

I am not in the military but did try a home modification with Chase it took them 3 years to reply and to get my modification through. They helped me alright, directly to foreclosure. They raised my mortgage claimed I had no escrow and that they had to raise it to cover the cost of the escrow, My mortgage went from one lender to another until Chase bought it and I've had nothin but trouble and worries and my husband and I decided it was just best to let the house go, we are tired of playing the CHASE game. It was never easy navigating through their phone system and of course you never spoke with the same individual so like someone said left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. So frustrating. I don't care for Chase and once we are done with them I will never deal with them again.

This is supposedly Chase Bank. They call every month between the 1st and 15th.  I usually make my payment on the 10th due to the current pay schedule.  They want to know when and how I am going to make my payment, my telephone number, my cell phone number, do I live in the house personally.  I have answered their questions and every month it is the same. Last month I told them to stop calling because this is nothing but harassment and supposedly the conversation was being taped.  It didn't do any good...starting this month they started in again.  This company calls my cell phone one time and then in a few minutes my home phone and they start as early at 8:30 in the a.m. and 9:30 at night.  They need to be stopped.

They want us to post only "truthful" information here, but there is no TRUTH to why they are calling.  Seems like harassment for no reason is illegal.  Maybe the FEDS can help us with this irritation?  They call my office!

J.P. Morgan Chase is the dirtiest, most corrupt, not only bank, but business in America. I would call them mafia, because they are a criminal enterprise, but I do not want to offend the mafia by putting them in the same category with this scumbag bank. I guess Jamie Dimon missed his ethics class at Harvard Business School. His company’s policies are a direct reflection of his character, and he is a scumbag dirty pig. I lost everything and I can’t even get a job because J.P. Morgan Chase destroyed my credit by dragging out the short sale/foreclosure process for over a year. And to pour salt in the wound, my mortgage has PMI insurance, which means the bank doesn’t lose. I have been turned down for two jobs because of my credit and also that H.R. Bill 3149 has not passed yet………I lay in bed contemplating suicide while J.P. Morgan Chase writes out billions in employee bonus checks.

After being laid off, I could no longer afford my mortgage payment. I did not want a foreclosure to occur so I tried to do the right thing and located a realtor and an attorney to work with to help facilitate a short sale. I have brought two different buyers to the lenders. These buyers were pre-approved and ready to close. Every time we got close to closing, the lender would kill the deal. They should be on their knees, kissing my a**, thanking me for finding them even one buyer in this horrible economy and even worse real estate sector, let alone two. J.P. Morgan Chase has lied, manipulated, and jerked us around for over a year. This scumbag, lying, dirty bank makes my skin crawl and make me want to vomit my stomach contents. One bank representative even told me that “They were going to ruin my credit and destroy my life for putting them in this position.” I put them in this position????? I had an 804 FICO Score before I was laid off. I had a 30 year low rate fixed mortgage. I did everything right. These criminals, who should be in prison for their fraudulent activities, now get 7$$$$$$$$ figure bonuses as rewards. Not to forget, these criminals had their hat-in-hand begging the government for a handout of billions of yours and mine tax dollars. Let’s have a brief history listen. The bulge bracket firms on Wall Street are the DIRECT CAUSE of the great recession. They are the ones who bought the crap sub-prime loans, replenished the coffers of fly by night lenders, sliced and diced them, re-named and re-packaged them as Mortgage Backed Securities, coerced and blackmailed the ratings agencies to give them triple AAA credit ratings, and then sold these garbage investment vehicles around the world knowing full well the whole time this was a scam. These banks perpetrated the largest fraud known to mankind. They systemically brought down not only the U.S. economy but also the global economy. Countries such as Iceland have collapsed because they believed the lies that the thieves on Wall Street fed them and over levered themselves to buy RMBS investments. And now that the real estate bubble has collapsed, and these thieves cannot milk anymore revenue from the RMBS fraud, they are trying to create revenue on the backside by destroying the middle class and people’s lives, including mine. I have lost everything. I am three months from being homeless and living in my truck. I don’t have a ten million dollar mansion like Richard Fuld (Former Lehman Brothers CEO) to go home to, hundreds of millions of dollars in savings, or a private jet to fly me home to my estate in Chicago from NYC, every weekend, like Jamie Dimon. I got an SMS text from this number.

I've never seen it before and do not recognize the caller ID, therefore it is an unwanted call.

The individual using this number is doing so with malicious intent!

If I receive any more calls from this number, I'm simply just going to forward everything to the FBI.

Anyone whom gets a TEXT-message or CALL from someone they don't know or never heard of, should immediately allow their security-application to blacklist it and then proceed to report the incident to the FBI.

You should never open attachments or respond to any requests from these types of sources. They're only spoofing you to get your information.

With the enormous increase of identity-theft on the rise, people should definitely be on alert and very scrupulous when receiving any calls or texts from a source they do not recognize.
