- ANONYMOUS replies to BlaiseI got an SMS text from this number.
I've never seen it before and do not recognize the caller ID, therefore it is an unwanted call.
The individual using this number is doing so with malicious intent!
If I receive any more calls from this number, I'm simply just going to forward everything to the FBI.
Anyone whom gets a TEXT-message or CALL from someone they don't know or never heard of, should immediately allow their security-application to blacklist it and then proceed to report the incident to the FBI.
You should never open attachments or respond to any requests from these types of sources. They're only spoofing you to get your information.
With the enormous increase of identity-theft on the rise, people should definitely be on alert and very scrupulous when receiving any calls or texts from a source they do not recognize.

- chris rI don't have nor never had a chase bank account or loan of any kind. This number just
Called me.. she said "who's number did I call?". I said "dear you called me, you should
Know that, and i don't give information out over the phone". She hung up. - JeanI received a call from this number also. I have had my phone number for 8 years. They said it was Chase calling, yet they did not have any of my information on file. I do not have a mortgage with Chase either. Just a car loan which they could not find record of. They kept asking for my social security number which I refused to give them over the phone.

- xminerI get a call from this number 2 times a day. I answer, no one is there, they never leave a message if I let it ring. I do not own a home, no mortgage, nor do I have an account at Chase of any kind. I find it hard to believe this could be legitimate. 2 calls a day, and just silence, no one there? WTF?
So those who are saying its legit, I am not sure I understand how it could be... I would love to talk to someone on the other end and punch them in the face for calling me 14 times in 7 days and not ever bothering to speak to me or leave a message. Its harassment even if it is a real company.
But since I don't have a Chase account of any kind, no mortgage, nothing, I would really love for the calls to stop, or just once have there be someone on the other end I can get a in a conversation with to find out why the hell they are calling me twice a day.- Caller: Unknown
- mummsy replies to jerriI believe the terms of collections state that debt collectors can call from a certain hour to a certain including at your place of work unless you cannot receive personal/those types of calls at work (I forget the actual wording).
If I remember correctly one can contact the FCC if after letting them know that you cannot receive such calls at your place of employment between certain hours. - DaveBill collection, repo men and Chase. Screw 'em. Your debt gets bought and sold all the time. The new collector knows nothing about the account, so you get to start all over.
- D.W.| 1 replyI didn't get a call, but I got a message inside a blank envelope hanging on my front door telling me to call with my SSN or Loan number. I don't have a home loan through Chase. This has to be a scam because I'm a paralegal at a large law firm that specializes in default services. The notice on my door read, "JP Morgan Chase". On our foreclosure deeds and other notices, we have to write Chase out like "JPMorgan Chase" with the "JP" together. Another weird thing is that the date on the notice read "8/9/2012" and it's the 7th today. I'm going to call Chase tomorrow and see what the deal is.

- MirandaBeware!!!!!!!! Please do not call or answer calls from this number as they are a fraud. They call asking to get your account information in which the person gives it out and commits fraud. JP Morgan Chase Bank will never call and ask for no one account number for no reason. They call saying that you need to pay certain amount of money which is not true!. And will even call people who do not have a Chase account. If you have any questions call your bank or go to your local bank and ask to speak to a supervisor personally! I work for JP Morgan Chase and people are doing whatever they can to steal people's information and commit all types of fraud. So please be aware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Miranda replies to D.W.its fraud please do not call or answer as i work for jp morgan chase bank and will ask for no ones bank account number nor leave any paper inside a blank envelope infront of no ones door.
- TampaGeekWe have a mortgage with Chase and we're working with an attorney to get a loan modification done, so the payments are backing up. However, they've been notified of this yet the calls still come to my WORK phone (very annoying), and nobody is there when I answer (line goes dead) and no messages are left. If this is for Chase, I'm going to let them know that whatever company they are using for this is worthless.

- RobinIt is Chase Bank! Every month they call, you have to go through their process and update everything. I always tell them, nothing has changed since last month. They obviously never check their website, because I always set up a payment and pay online. It shows the date and everything. One of these days when they ask if we still live in it, "No...we moved out months ago, I'm just making payments for the heck of it!!"

- Mary L PenaThis people called me on my cell phone and did not leave a message...I checked on the number and I saw it was chase morgage. I called chase and they said they would check on it. Then was told they were getting the morgage dept. to see why they called me, especially my cell phone.....we have no morgage since our home has been paid for many years ago. They said they would call me but they never did. I couldn't believe a chase employee would suddently say that they morgage dept. wouldn't tell her anything . I went to another chase bank and reported it to them and was promised they would investigate and call me back, that was on a saturday. One the following friday I called the lady back...she said she was sorry she failed to tell me she would be in training all week and had not had a chance to investigate....then went on to tell me she had found out that they had no record of the call and they didn't give her anymore info. So she lied cause at first she said she had not had time to check on it. Then this afternoon I get a call on my cell and when I answered they asked for my husband...I told them he was not in and could I help them...they said No cause it was a personal problem. I hung up on them.

- Not_Me_NJ replies to Skylar63Hear, hear! I'm tired of people who don't understand what it's like to lose your job and spend several months trying to get a temp job just to get some sort of money in.
That was me back in 2009, and continued into 2010. - Not_Me_NJ replies to GerryUh, Jerry, have you ever lost your job suddenly? Have you ever had things spiral down so quickly because of circumstances beyond your control?
I had a brain aneurysm back in late 2008, was eventually let go from my job because my boss was paranoid that I would screw up something - which NEVER happened. She was so screwed up that even one of her daughters was in therapy.
Bad investment? Hubby and I were both working at the time (1992) when we bought our house, so what you're saying is bogus. Our house was in decent shape for a long time...we paid on time from the get go up until June of this year...because we've run very low on money. I work at a temp job that pays $14 an hour...which doesn't go far in Jersey. Hubby is on SS Disability, which doesn't amount to much.
Why do so many people have no compassion? There ARE things that come up that are beyond our control, whether you believe it or not. After all, who could know I was going to have an aneurysm and everything would just spiral down from there? It's not like we have a couple of BMWs in the driveway or that we're taking vacations every year to Tahiti or something. - Steve S.We've had an account with Chase for over year as a result of their merging with EMC. All of our dealings with them have been very professional. They have always used letterhead on their correspondence and it was placed in business envelopes. As we are going through a loan modification, we are notified in writing of any information they need. When I call my service rep (not at the 9380 number), he goes through the same verification process even though we have established a business relationship over the phone. In short, their business ethics where we are concerned are beyond reproach.
I received a blank envelope today at my front door with a slip of paper asking that I call that number. With all that I've written above, why would I think this is nothing but a scam? Let these people have their fun with unsuspecting clients. Eventually, they will be caught. For everyone else, be careful and know who you are calling before giving out personal information.- Caller: N/A
