My sister got a call from this number on her cell phone, the call such as the other comments indicate,is a recorded message saying if u are this person press 1 if not hang up or whatever it might say.

The name given was Robert Miller from a law firm? Giving a name makes them more "trustworthy" and if they are somehow involved witht he "law" oh boy u better return the call!i belive that is what they might think

I immediately thought it was very odd bcuz of a few very brow raising detai..............Its a 1800 number, using a recording...why would a law firm do business this way?

She thought I should call in,but in my job I am exposed too sooo many fraud cases and there was no way I was going to wind them up like a wind upp toy so they can keep bothering us.

I figure if no one answers or calls back, they will eventually back off? but after reading these experiences,im getting concerned that might not be the case..

I just never answer any number I do not know.Im not expecting an important call.Im not applying for employment or anything that might have to call me from an unknown number so I just dont bother answering.Even if I was,i figure if its important  or from a legit company or real person they will forcelly need to leave a voicemail.Which I do return immediately.I still get calls from the same numbers but hey im not gonna make their jobs any easier.

We figured they called her bcuz shes had her # for many years.I mean thats as much sense as I can make of that because I just dont give her number with my name.

I just think we should all play it safe and not answer at the very least any 1800 # at the very least. That can only mean trouble!

Drs. Technology has been calling our number for over a year,  mostly twice a day.  I answered once and they asked for someone I never heard of and then said "If this call is not for you, call a certain number and your name will be taken off the list.  I was not about to call a number!   Why can't somethng be done about these annoying calls?   They should not be allowed to interrupt so many lives.

Harrasss the Collector replies to Son
Sue these people that's what you can do. Google the Michael Mirras System or go to ruleoflawradio.com and order his course there. Debt collectors are always violating Federal civil rights. Sue them and take their money for a change. He has won 6 federal court cases against debt collectors.

    Wasting Time
Hi -- received 2 calls today with a hang-up each time. I called back and was told it was Debt Recovery Services. I asked to be removed from their call list. They claim I'm not on the call list. I explained I did not want their services and he rudely said "how do you know?"  I hung up on him.  Waste of people's time...mine and the person working that job who could be learning a useful skill.

If we all report them to the FCC they will go away.

The person who had my phone number before me did not pay their bills. I've gotten many collectors off my back by registering complaints with the FCC.

The left a message saying they "had a matter to discuss" and ordered an unnamed person to call back.   Given I don't owe any debts, and given no one owes me a debt, I have no used for their service.

    Calling for Sheila Rocca???
I really tried to understand the name whom the debt collector was looking for because she talked so fast. By the way it's in the voice mailbox. How could I hung you up if I'm not the right person when I wasn't home when you called?

I have a LG800G Tracfone and i don't have to block a number. These people have many numbers they can use. If you are not in my contacts my phone does not even ring and i never setup my voice mail so callers get nothing but a, "this person has not setup their voice mail, goodbye".

BTW, my phone service costs about $7.00 a month. Best phone i ever owned.
