    These guys call me all the time. A real pain. If it is TW, I will be really upset. These guys are bozos anyway. If it wasn't for RR, I'd ditch these guys in a heartbeat.

    Got a call from 800-892-2253, and discovered it was a soliciation to buy old Barbra Streisand
    albums......and I do not even own a record player!

    Go to Time Warner website and find the Online Chat button. You can report this online; the customer rep will say "I will go ahead and place a stop on all the tele marketing calls" and hopefully that will work.

    I also entered the number in my cell phone under the name "Don't Answer", and I don't :-)

    This morning I received a call from 800-892-2253.  It was a woman who claimed to be from "the cable company" although she did not identify herself or the company for whom she worked.  She told me it was a courtesy call and asked, “How is your digital TV?”  Since there hasn’t been any recent problem with my cable hook up, I asked what she was talking about.  She replied, “Your cable box.”  I assured her there was nothing wrong with my cable box and told her, "Usually the customer calls when there is a problem not the cable company."  All of the sudden several children (on her end of the connection) begin screaming and fighting uncontrollably.  She says, “I’m sorry, I’m working from home and I have to go.”  Click!  Was it Time Warner, a telemarketer or a scam?  I have no idea but it was certainly odd and kind of suspicious!

    Time Warner trying to upgrade yoru service. They call almost daily. Just tell them to stop calling or you will switch to Direct TV and that if you want to upgrade you will call them.. That gets their attention and they do stop. At least I do not hear from them anymore.

    For what it's worth, I got a call from this number. The call was to my GoPhone. I've never given the number out to any corporation, or anyone other than very close family and a couple friends. I find this very strange how TW got my GoPhone number. I am a TW customer, but have never called them from this phone, or given them my cell number.

    I have read here that this is Time Warner Cable calling. A few days ago I got a call from them at a different number and answered the questions of the person on the line. Today I got a call from this number and it hung up shortly after I said hello.

    Looked up the number, saw that it was time warner (i use them) trying to sell me cable package.  told him i'd pass but thanked him for the offer.  was nice and over with.  wont be calling back as i've been noted as not interested.

    We had a call from this number, showed up on caller ID. I called back, and it was an automated call regarding an appointment we have with Time Warner for a service call later in the week. It gave me the opportunity to reschedule, cancel, or confirm the appointment. I chose the latter, and that was all that was needed. It was very similar to the confirmation calls we receive for our doctor's appointments.
