- TracyThis number, which is apparently Penn Credit Corporation, has been calling our house every day for two months. The recording says they have personal information for my mother. I have no relationship with my mother, have not spoken to her in over 4 years. We moved to a different state a couple years ago, and she does not have our home phone #, so I don't know how Penn Credit could get it in connection with an account of hers.
The recording offers an option for me to let them know that they have the wrong number...when I press it, the recording tells me that they will correct their records...but they just keep calling. How do I get them to stop??- Caller: Penn Credit Corporation
- Call type: Debt collector
- CCCalled my work this morning, a dentist office, stated they were trying to collect a debt, and asked for the doctor's ex wife, by her current married name. They've been divorced 12 years, she's been remarried for 10 of those. Said they'd update records

- mad as hell replies to BigA| 1 replycalled about a parking ticket they said was from 4 years back, haven't been to Md. in 10 years and never owned said a vehicle ticket was in referenced too
- BigA replies to mad as hellParking tickets are not covered under the FDCPA. I find it hard to believe this outfit would be trying to collect them. You will have to dispute the ticket with the issuing agency or the court. You will need the particulars of the ticket to do that. Once you have the information, you will need to send the court or the agency a certified, return receipt letter clearly explaining why this ticket isn't yours. It is possible that the ticket writer made an unclear notation of the license plate number. It happened to me once, and that is what I did to straighten it out.
- tomdebt collectors desperately reaching out to anyone they can
many of the debts they call about are no longer valid nor can they be proven, so their tact is to harass anyone into any form of payment
just ignore the call and block the number. if they dont leave a VM or the VM doesnt pertain to you, fantastic. corresponding however with debt collectors in any form is a bad idea if you dont owe money (they consider any form of communication a way in IMO) - CallisCI have an unlisted number but got a call from this number who I don't want to hear from again.

- Bobbi replies to GP| 1 replyI paid these bozos off TWICE for the same account. Once was the original debt, the second was for interest that "accrued!" Then they said I still owed them $5. Told them to eff themselves and write off the $5. Cut to 8 years later. They keep calling me several times a day sometimes as many as 10 times a day. I refuse to answer the phone! Take a flying eff, Penn Credit!!
- BigA replies to BobbiSo you let them scam you twice? I would suggest that you take the time to read the other posts, such as the one at the top of this page before you let a crook scam you again.

- Mark| 1 replyThey called from a different number this time as I had blocked their last 800 number... Still looking for someone I've never heard of once again. Blocked this 800 number too. Like losers that don't pay their bills give out their real home number!
I guess whenever I see PENN CREDIT on my caller ID I'll just hit the big red BLOCK NOW button on my CPR V5000 Call Blocker unit... It's much easier to block their numbers than even attempt to convince these imbeciles that they're calling the wrong number!- Caller: PENN CREDIT COR
