The first time these people called me was about mid afternoon on a Sunday and again the same day in early evening.  I didn't answer because they did not identify themselves or leave a message.  Since then they call every couple of days but the phone doesn't ring because I've blocked them.  If I owe money why haven't I heard from the creditor directly with a bill or letter?  Why should I believe the claims of an unknown caller from out of state that I owe money and just blindly send it to them?  If they were reputable they would send the appropriate letter through the USPS and then follow up with phone calls if I didn't respond.  But that costs them money so they just try intimidation first.  I see where some who have posted to this site say it was for amounts under $50.  It seems to me that it would cost the creditor more in fees to the collection agency to be worth the effort.  And if the agency collects a percentage of the recovered payment, why work for just a few dollars.  Some say they were told there was a lawsuit pending.  What court or lawyer would file a suit and not inform the person in writing when they needed to respond or appear in court?  Also, if I were a creditor hiring these people to collect a debt for me I would fire them.  A phone call every couple of days is not what I would expect them to do.  I would expect them to be more intense in trying to reach me.  One poster said when he asked for a letter they asked him for his address.  A legitimate agency would already have that info.  I recommend getting a call blocker and ignoring them.

What a nightmare, same as everyone has reported. I do have an issue with Resident47 replies , wonder if the collectors are providing the info.  My advised will be same as PROBLEM SOLVED !!  Third party debt collectors do not have the authority to collect a debt that is not assigned to them...meaning you do not have a contract with said debt collector there for you do not owe said debt collector any money  ...here is what u do ... first call : do not verify any of your information especially last 4 digits of social do not give them your number call private and so not give them any bank info or addresses ...ssnd them a a cease and desist letter so they can only contact you via mail next send debt validation letter certified....wait for return letter with your debt info....they cannot collect from you unroll they verify your debt completely....if they verify your debt ....send a requests for chain of assignment...what this is is a bill of sale between the original debtor and third party debt collector stating that this debt collector is authorised and ownes this debt....if the debt has been sold several times they must send the entire chain of assignment to you listing every single collector your debt has been sold to if they miss any page or skip a debtor you tell them they have not verified they own this debt and there for u do not plan on paying ...they won't take you to court because this is a small claims debt collection agency ...its not worth the paperwork!!! And you tell them you do not have a contract with them so are not obligated to pay .....know your rights!!! Most of these agancys do not have propped paperwork to back up what they say !!!
YOU DO NOT HAVE A CONTRACT (SIGNED) DIRECTLY WITH THE COLLECTION AGENCY or THIRD PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calls constantly - three calls within 5 min Itjis morning! Harassment! Never leaves a message. If people would stop picking up the phone, these phone boiler room companies would go out of business. I honestly don’t know who is dumb enough nowadays to answer unknown numbers or their front door to a stranger!

Got a call from 1800-900-1380 On my parent’s phone number. They were demanding to speak with my husband so my mom gave me the phone since I happened to be there. Would not give me any information regarding the call without me verifying our address, which I refused. I told them the number they were were calling was not our number, and if they needed information they can mail it to us.

This 800-900-1380 number robo-calls every other day with "important information".  I know who has had the phone number for 20+ years and it is not Richard Fuller, yet they will not stop calling for him. I called back and reported that there has never been anyone by that name yet the robocalls continue. Today I spoke with someone again. Told them to take this number off the calling list. We'll see if they comply.

Have been receiving, on average, 2 calls per day at all diff times.  Robo call so you do not get a live person and no way to communicate.  We do not owe any money to anyone!  I started logging the calls in Feb but it started long before then.  Who can we complain to to have thus stopped!?
