Completely agree, they were trying to verify the name and number of the name on an office number...a courtesy call "because" Verizon had gotten several messages and was just trying to return my call.  Ha! Social engineering at its laziest.

Yes I just got a call, claiming to be AT&T to give me a $20 credit for completing a survey. I did give the last four digits of my social, hopefully they can't do anything with that. Then I got suspicious and wouldn't give them any more information. Glad to find the info here!

For me, this was a valid contact from Verizon Wireless.  Message advised me of the end of a trial period of Premium Visual Voicemail.  Very clear, very straightforward: sign up to pay the premium, or revert to basic voicemail.  No scam here.

Claimed to be Verizon, gave me to fraud dept and asked me for ss # which I was dumb enough to give to get myself clear -  what a fraud

This scam is still going. Just received a text message for this.

I didn't accept the call since it was an 800 number but I'm not even a Verizon customer.

Calls but leaves no message.

Call on cell phone from 800-922-0204 at 9:09 a.m. on 1/07. "No Name" on caller ID. Did not answer and no message left. I'm in continuing to have this type of call and report them to Do Not Call registry.

I've received three calls from this number on Jan. 5, 8, and 9 -- the last two left voicemails consisting only of "canned" music (like you hear when placed on hold).

It's Verizon customer service, Savannah is the rep and she's awesome!

SCAM call from them this morning. Didn't answer

They called me at 10pm local time and left a 1 second voicemail with nothing.

Man.. I just called this # got supposed  help from an agent with verizon.. hung up and BOOM instantly started receiving  odd calls from different  states. . HOW DO YOU FIX THIS HELP!

Not true, I just got a call from them on my cell as I had sent them an email to remove an email from my account they called to confirm that they removed the email from my account. 😉

I just received this call in Spanish saying that a new tower wa been put up and my service would be affected therefore they would credit me $80 they asked me to confirm my last 4 of social and my name, they are still going in 2016.

I just got the call must be the same person :(

Said i was going to get discounts on my Sprint account for a survey, when i got suspicious, it was a Verizon number, i better not get billed for anything

I received a call on my new verizon cell phone from the government.But i always check the number online to see who's calling me,and what i found out was the number 18009220204,is called 800 notes which is a bill collector.

Some one in the company is scam then. Because they just called me and when I asked them to answer a few question they could not but they sure wanted my personal information.   SCAM from the inside.

Some message about visual voice mail which I never signed up for...scam!
