(update to previous entry) - in addition to mobile, called home.  cid: "PSS tech LVM 5N".  possible failed verizon follow-up survey (clearly seriously flawed) intended to solicit recognition for techie who resolved a smart phone app problem.

I received a call on my cell this afternoon from this number. It was a 3-question survey for which the caller said  I would earn a $20 credit on my phone bill for answering.  He call me by my first name in what sounded like a caribbean accent and asked me to confirm the last 4 numbers of my SS. That's when I said he was scam and disconencted the call,

I received the same call today July 13, 2015 at 11:57 AM saying it was a 3 question survey and I would get $20 credit.  The 3 questions became more than 3, the accented guy did have some of my info - like my number he called in on and I think my street address. I answered the questions he already knew, but when he asked for my last 4 digits of SS#, I said I don't give that out and HE hung up.

Got a call from this number on my cell.  Caller ID showed it as Verizon Wireless.  A man said I'd get $20 credit per line if I answered 3 questions about call quality.  There was call-center chatter in the background.  I answered them.  Then he wanted my Verizon password to credit my account.  I refused.

Me too Martin. Billed my credit card for $232.44. Don't know how they got the card numbers nor have I ever used this card with Verizon. Calling M/C today to demand restitution/credit to card account as this was a fradulent billing.
Also calling Verizon to complain of the phishing theft.

These scammers are really persistent and annoying. On the same day in July I received 7 calls total from this number - no message left. Just don't answer!

I got a call "from Verizon" saying they were doing a customer service survey and that I could get a $20 discount for participating. I answered 3 questions, then they asked for the last 4 digits of my social security number. I said I didn't feel comfortable providing that information.

Called Verizon #611 and was unhappy with how woman was acting - background noise, unsure what she was doing.  I hung up and immediately got 5 calls back I didn't answer.  Today I reported to V that one of their employees on #611 may be part of scam.  They said they'd report it.

    Verizon cell tower scam

Claiming they will reimburse you for the times a cell tower "near you" becomes unavailable. They were asking for social security as a method of confirming your identity. The guy sounded cuban and spoke to me in spanish from the start.

We also are having problems with Verizon. I walked in told them I wanted one flip phone and one smart on for some limited internet access. My husband said he'd like a smart phone so I said, fine, the guy told us "a tablet came with the package" we aren't using the tablet so I tried asked what I would have to do to return--the answer is pay over $200 of charges for something I said I didn't want/need or take my chances on getting a buyer on some internet site. Not an appropriate answer. There was no disclosure of fees for that thing; we were totally oversold and now apparently are stuck for the next 2 years. Then we get to pay taxes on the thing that sits in the drawer all month. Then they wonder why nobody except people on welfare care about this excuse for a presidential election. It's totally insulting...but then so is being stuck paying for stuff you don't need, don't want and have no use for.
