- Q replies to JacobThey are most probably spoofing the number. It is not Verizon Wireless!
- CyranoCall came in on a Tuesday afternoon, caller ID showed caller as VERIZON. I answered and a male voice said I was due a refund and only needed to provide personal information along with Verizon account info to receive refund. I hung up. What a scam.
- Caller: Unknown
- WaltIt's past 10 pm on a Friday night, Sep 21, 2018! This number has been around for YEARS but it is still ACTIVE with threats from Verizon! I AM NOT A VERIZON CUSTOMER! How did they get my number? They threatened to terminate my account......Please do so, I don't have one. WTH is going on?
- Caller: Verizon
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- SharoniReceived a text from this number stating it was Verizon. Asking me if I signed up for My Verizon and if I didn't to call them immediately.

- Sam| 1 replyThis number is a Verizon Wireless Scam. Left voice mail which was all noise of people talking in background. Sounded like bar room noise. Verizon is aware of this scam and has a SCAM ALERT for it. BE CAREFUL if you receive a call from this number
- Caller: Verizon Scammer

- Jane Doe replies to SamRepeated messages left on our cell phones that our Verizon Wireless account is currently "suspended" (I guess that's technically true since we don't HAVE Verizon Wireless for our cell phones.... I've set up a callback (on my landline) with Verizon to discuss this. I also spent roughly 40 minutes on Verizon Wireless' FB page messaging back and forth (mostly forth) with Brianna the Spambot. If this is a spoofed number, you'd THINK that Verizon would have done something (you know, like CHANGE *their* number, even if they aren't competent enough to track the alleged perps down... but given the horrible to navigate customer support page on their website, I'm not sure that Verizon's IT people could grok the "Ooh, do you think we should change our phone #?" part). Told "Brianna" that I'd be more than happy to report Verizon's Corporate Headquarters and Operational Headquarters to the Attorneys-General in their respective states (being NY and NJ). Because as far as *I'm* concerned it IS Verizon Wireless robocalling me until THEY can prove different.... I've deleted most of the (repeated) messages and now blocked the number, in the meantime.....
- Dusty replies to JacobThey can spoof numbers...I get telemarketer calls from local numbers...I live in a town of 6000 there’s no local telemarketers
- luckywon replies to JBI received a call also from that umber, I do not answer calls numbers that I do not recognize. If it is for real, they will leave a message that I will know is from someone I trust. Not only did this one leave a recorded voice message, as if I had answered, but it said my account was suspended, though did not identify any company. And, I knew it wasn't Verizon, because I have not had an account with that company for nearly two years.
I knew it was a scam using a cloned number.
The best advice I have read, is to NEVER call back the number, because they will most often be able to hack into your phone if you do. - atSpoofed caller ID. Saying "Your Verizon account has been suspended...". Don't even have Verizon.

- MDLMJust received a call from this number. Answered but no one on the other end. Likely a scam call or other such nonsense.

- anonscam. i don't have a verizon wireless account/they are using a legit tel# for verizon
- Caller: fake verizon

- Don't Call Me, I'll Call YouDid not recognize so I didn't bother. They left no message. After seeing all of these comments, it went straight to my blocked list! Thanks guys!
p.s.
I do not have Verizon, but TracFone, although I understand that they use Verizon's network. Still, odd to get a call from a fake Verizon unless they're snatching non-Verizon customer's numbers off of the system!
There truly is no stone that they won't leave unturned.... - BDB| 1 replyClaimed to be Verizon - said my account has been suspended. Called at midnight. And I don't have Verizon.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- JustinCase replies to BDBIt's just a random stab since Verizon's a pretty large marketer. IF you do, they're likely looking to bilk you out of personal information and money. Without the phony spiel, they'd have to come up with something else as a reason to call.~I Was Prepared~JustinCase
- ANONCalled my cell# (which is NOT Verizon) - Male with HEAVY FOREIGN INDIAN ACCENT left a message that my account had been suspended.,,, etc.. ADDED TO BLOCK LIST.

- DontdialmeJust answered a call from this number, telling me that someone I knew wanted to Take my phone number and change it to a business account. I told them no and they told me I understand you have to talk to them to make sure this is OK. What a scam! They told me they were currently on the phone with the other person.

- LaceyRecieved a call saying my account had been suspended. Recieved 2 voicemails a minute apart saying the same thing. Not saying where my account was suspended from. Didn't answer call due to it being from toll free caller. Be careful it's a scam.
- Caller: Suspended account

- BalkanDeputyI don't answer 1-800 calls. Due to information listed here, I blocked the call.
Thank you all. - Charity Samora| 1 replyI talked to Verizon today. They are not calling anyone with a rebate offer. The caller called me, but wanted my hubby's account info. Didn't think anything of it until after I gave him the phone. He gave him a pin. They called back today with the same offer... again on my phone. It didn't feel right so I Googled the number and saw the reports. After securing the account I walked into the store and the double checked the account. The said the best course of action is to block the phone number.
