I take all calls like this, put them on speaker phone, then walk away and keep doing whatever I was doing before the interruption.  I figure if I make them spend money enough and waste their time, they will eventually quit calling.  Oh, and for those of you that answer and there's nothing there, that's the computer calling program logging when an actual person answers the phone.  Using the speakerphone option seems to confuse the program as well.

I too have been getting these telemarketing calls at least twice a day (I don't answer 800 numbers).  It is Sears Warranty.  They hang up after your answering machine takes the call.

They called last night and my husband answered, immediately said "NO Thanks!" and hung up.  They called again this morning ('guess they didn't understand what NO THANKS means!)

This morning I called THEIR number, waited for a representative to answer and hung up.  I plan to do this at least twice a day.  Hopefully the rest of us can do the same thing and perhaps get our point across.

Don't know how they got our number in the first place since we have Vonage and it's unlisted.  I don't ever remember purchasing anything from Sears in several years.

This number calls several times every day including weekends

Several calls a day. one at 8:05am Saturday, our only day to sleep in. caller id  1-800-927-2291. same as others, no response with commotion in background. We had lawn mower fixed a few weeks ago at SEars. Will never bring them a product again. Does any one know how to stop this?

I have rec'd 5 calls from this number today, so I called it back.  Sure enough it was Sears warranty as others have found out.  I stayed on the line until a person came on talking about my warranty.  I told her I had already
taken care of it and please take me off the 800-927-2291 list.  She agreed
she would.  Lets see if it works...

Yes, we are getting multiple calls daily from 1 800 927 2291 and we too are sick of it.

They call me 4 times a day I want it to stop

After the 4th call last week...I played with them.  The call was from Bob from Sears.  I said, "Hi Bob, do you own a microwave?"  He said he did.  I said, "Well, today is your lucky day...I've just started Greg's warranty service...for $200 I will come to your house and fix it!"  Bob from Sears hung up on me.  Sears has not called me back (yet).

I started getting these calls after putting my resume on CAREERBUILDER.COM.  Don’t know if this is by chance or if they are working with each other. Any one else notice this?

If you work at Sears you would know you can't sell anything to yourself, now thats just basic policy for ANY sales store.  Your statement if full of flaws and things that don't make sense.  Please don't waste peoples time with your crappy ass stories.

This agency constantly calls and hangs up on my answering machine, calling all hours of the day!  This is a solicitor and a SCAM!

1 800 927 2291 has called me every day all day long for the past two weeks. It starts at 7 or 8am and goes until about 10pm.  I have bought a few things from Sears over the years that Im not impressed with (refridge with ice maker inside) Ill never buy one of those again. THIS harassment is as bad as the charity solicitors the ones the state/local cops hire, fire depts/EVMS folks hire to do their calling around to poor folks begging for money to help those in need while the rich folks that can afford donations dont get haressed and if they do donate...they most always get 99.9 percent of it back in taxes.

Just called Sears Warranty service and asked for the manager of the department.  I told him I had been getting phone calls all hours of the day and read him some of these postings.  I told him if the calls did not quit, I would file a harrassment lawsuit and would subpoena the recording (they say these calls may be recorded for training purposes). I was assured I would not get another call.  We'll see!!!

I just called this number back and it was Sears.  I have been called two-three times a day with no msg, including twice on Sunday.  The reason why there is no msg is because it is automated.  I purchased a lawn mower fm Sears several yrs ago but this is not why they were contacting me.  It was for an ac unit that I NEVER purchased.  I asked for my number to be removed fm their list and informed the woman I was speaking to that I am on the Do Not Call List.

I receive phone calls 4-5 times a day - noboody is at the other and of the line.

I have been receiving calls from 800-927-2291 day and night for about two weeks -.  They leave no message and call 7 days a week - into the evening.

I have recieved 15 phone calls in the last 5 days.  Every morning I get a call at 8:06am and wakes up my wife. Then I get a call at 10:19am,5:12pm,6:30ish and 8:20.  The times have been very consistent, may be a minute or two off on each call.  Its to the point now where I sit with the phone, I answer it, wait for a human, then wack my phone on the table. Not sure if they get any loud noise, but it makes me feel better.

My phone service has a web portal where I can log in and block any calls. I have already blocked 2 other Sears Warranty department numbers, have a feeling I will get calls from another number soon.
