The one that called yesterday googled my phone number when I asked who they were looking for.  I could hear the typing and the names they gave were all names of people who had left reviews for the business associated with my number.  SCAMMERS

I realize that name and address can be obtained from open source sites on the Internet by searches as the scammer is talking to you. But other info should not be. I have had a scammer quote my full electric utility account #. That is not open source. Now that could be gotten by dumpster diving or maybe other ways. But Aletta (on page 101) says that they have her current credit card balance. There should be no way of getting that short of hacking the Credit Card database. That is why I ask if it is the most recent balance. Maybe an old balance that hasn't change could be gotten. But if they have a very current balance, that is  an issue to be extremely concerned about.

I agree that what they know is disturbing and that the scammers are vile and nasty.

They did not leave a message but I do not have a Chase card. I don't care if it is a "legitimate" number, it still got blocked. I have no business with Chase Bank.

Calls continually and says nothing.   I looked up the number, and the information says it's a bad number.   They try to rip you off.

This is NOT Chase! This is a call from a scammer that is spoofing Chase's customer service number. Don't be fooled.

Even if Chase says it is a legit number, scammers can use it.   Those who say it is legit might be the scammers.  Scammers can come to this site.

    FYI:
it is a "legitimate" number but the 'person' calling is not. The scammer uses the technique of Caller ID Spoofing to replace his number with this number on your Caller ID display. In effect, it like a police impersonator who rents a police uniform and has a realistic but phony badge. So you are still right in blocking the #. In general, be on guard. These days, the Caller ID you see is not necessarily that of what you think it is. It is easily impersonated.

This number is Chase but it's often being spoofed by scammers trying to get your account info. Your credit card issuing bank will not robocall out of the blue to lower their interest rate; they can just mail an updated terms notice. Another hint is that the call claims there were multiple attempts to call and this is your last chance. Wouldn't you remember multiple missed calls?

Gotcha! Don’t have a Chase card. You scammers need to be a little more creative. Doesn’t look like anyone else is falling for it either.
