Call every single day, multiple times a day, never leave a message.

"Tired", if this is a problem big enough for someone from the real Capitol One to climb on this website and start making poorly spelled excuses with crappy grammar, then why don't you have a professional name and some numbers or email addresses we can call to stop this harassment?  I believe you are either an idiot or you are lying.  If you are just an innocent idiot who thinks he can help his company out, then give us some numbers we can call to straighten these things out.  Real numbers.  A website, even.  Otherwise, you pretty much have to be a liar.

We get the same dam annoying phone calls at least 10 times a day even on sundays, We dont pick up but the fact that they call over and over and over again is ridiculous

I have been getting calls from this number as well--I have decided to try a new approach...I press #2 to block them. I will do this with every unknown number that pops up. Hopefully this will end their unwanted calls.

I didnt answer. They left voicemail. Did not leave name, just number. I owe on a capital one credit card. It may be them.

I got a new FAX machine number through Vonage & these calls started about a month ago & I get them 1 - 3 times a day.  I called the # on the caller ID & tried to get a representative, after being on hold for about 10 min's I get disconnected.  I finally Gooled the number & found this.

It has been out of control lately. I get calls constantly at work from this number and nobody speaks when I answer. I would estimate calls at 3 times per day for the past 2 months. I only get a recording when I call the number.
It definitely is harrassment and should be stopped.

It is illegal for any agency to harass anyone via the internet or by telephone. You can contact the FCC to report any abuse or harassment by a creditor or just simple abuse. Once you have notified the caller that you do not want any further calls and they continue to excessively call on or after a certain hour of the night, they have violated the FCC rules and can be fined and/or disconnected from using the any FCC equipment.

I too have been receiving endless calls from this number.  All hours of the day and even on weekends.  I do not answer calls from unknown numbers and they do not ever leave a message.  I had no idea it was from Capital One until I found this thread.  I immediately paid my overdue CC bill, so I guess we'll see if they stop calling now...

I've read all the comments. When did the calls stop? They call every day and I never answer. Any suggestions?

This is a legit number.  If you recieve this call, you are probably close to a month late on your bill.  Yes, it's annoying they dont leave a message but it is probably not the first Cap One call you have recieved.

I have a Captial One Credit card however i have a right not to be , bothered by these people ! . . . we all have that darn right regardless if you have a credit card with Capital One card or not , its just not respectful period !

I receive numerous calls from this place every day. When I answer the phone, no one is on the line (not even a recorded message).

Most of the time, they will call, I will answer and then hang up. They will call back approximately 30 seconds later. They keep doing this throughout the day (usually starts around 9:00 a.m. and end around 9:30 p.m.) Total number of calls made ranges from 10 to 20 per day.

I used to be a Capital One customer about 3 years ago. Once I paid off my debt (then) I haven't became a customer since. I don't know why they keep calling. I don't know why there isn't anyone on the other end of the phone (not even a recorded message).

Got a message on my phone. Supposedly from capital one's fraud department for a "James Weber" they left the number 8004279248. Called to let them know I'm not james and to find another venue of contacting him and it wanted me to redial a sex line. I thought maybe the gal on the other side just switched two digitis or somethin so I went through my caller ID called this number back. This time they said they were capital one, asked for my CC number sv2 number pin number social and birthdate before I could talk to a person(a large line of 1's seemed to be good enough for the machine however) Watch out this is a dangerous number!

They call several times per day. No one on the other line. So I hang up and they keep calling again.

They call 15-20 times daily!  We do not have a Cap One account.  How can this stop?

get calls from this number at least 4 times a day - seven days at week sometime Capital One call on Sunday at 6Am or 10:30 pm.
We are tire some times i answer and tell them to stop calling me but an hour later they call again. and some times we do not answer calls that come up unknown name or unknown number.

Got new phone, next day this number called me.

Same as everyone above. Nonstop calls, no msg's and I don't even have a capital one card!

I got 9 calls by them in 3 days.  Unbelievable.  I called contact to confirm that it was there number.  Capital one said that it was.  9 calls people!  They are nuts.
