- Tygerkat replies to Marie quinn| 2 repliesThat person - who clearly posted 15 years ago - has nothing to do with any amount you have due. This is simply a phone number look-up site. No one here has any affiliation with whomever you think you're talking to.
- BigA replies to Tygerkat| 1 replyThe real question would be how she expects to refinance something if she isn't paying her bills and has lousy credit?
- Tygerkat replies to BigAGood point.
- AllieI don't even have a capital one account but they call every day and sometimes 4 times a day. I blocked the number.
- Caller: Capital One
- Call type: Debt collector
- Justine replies to JustinSame thing happened to me, Capital One customer service didn't have that 800-955-6600 registered as one of their #s and confirmed they did not call me and advised to not answer that # if they call again.
- OAPHung up as soon as I answered the phone. Blocked them.
- fathomi am not a customer of Capital One so it was weird to see 800-955-6600 calling and not leaving a message, i assume it is scammers spoofing the number.
- Bill| 1 replyCalled my cell today, but left no message. T-Mobile did not list this as a verified number.

Which means nothing.Quote:T-Mobile did not list this as a verified number. - Ellie| 1 replyreceived a few missed calls from this number and they left no voicemail. googled the number and got numerous results saying it was a number for Capital One. So I checked the Capital One website and this number was no where to be found. I then called the number on their website and asked if 800-955-6600 was in fact a Capital One number. After putting me on hold for just a brief time, she came back and told me NO, it is NOT a Cap One phone number. Do not give out any personal info to this number. Better yet, don't answer and block.
- MikeHuntleton replies to EllieMaybe you talked to a lazy employee or you are lying, but this is a Capital One number:
Source: https://www.capitalone.com/help-center/credit-cards/late-payment-support/Quote:If you find yourself making a late payment on your Capital One consumer credit card, it’s important to know what to do next.
When you miss a payment, you’ll enter collections where you may be charged late fees and interest. We typically report accounts as late to the credit bureaus after they are more than 30 days past due. For more information, review some of the top things to know about late credit card payments.
Once you’re in collections, we may call you from 800-955-6600, 800-435-1514, or another servicing number. If you see a call from these numbers, that’s us reaching out to provide further assistance. Our team will explain your account status and discuss if there are any additional options available to help you through your current financial situation.
Knowing the number is theirs means so do scammers. If you don't trust the caller is authentic, tell them you want to hang up and call right back. - Julie HNumber called me while I was at work. The caller ID indicates "Capital One". They didn't leave a message. Searching the number online links it to multiple complaints of harassment and attempts to get account numbers. I don't owe Capital One or anyone else money; this is a SCAM. I blocked the number, and reported the number to the FTC.
- Caller: Capital One (but...not)
