Really? You "don't know why these people think they're getting scammed"?! Have you not read any of the other posts in this thread detailing why people think it's a scam? Hint: phone number spoofing.

Number came across my phone as a person's name. Quick search showed it does not belong to a person but Capital One. Pretty shady tactics if it is Capital One.

This is a recent robocall to my home phone. I know it’s not legitimate because they called on Sunday.  I have no accounts through Capital One. Turned off my answering machine and I am on the do not call list. Ignore

There's no law saying they can't call on Sundays. And scammers neither know nor care if you're on the DNC list.

I think this may be a scammer. I have my account in hardship and dont have to pay anything until August. Its June...

I'm getting calls from Capital One at 800-955-6600 about every other day.
They leave voice messages asking for Emily Salisbury. I am not that person.
I don't know if I should just block them or call back & tell them they have the wrong number.

I've been getting calls from this number at my desk phone at work. It started on July 7 and have left 3 messages, all cut off at the start so I don't know who they are. Thanks to this site, I now know. I am up to date on all credit accounts. BTW, they have called 13 times since 7/7/20. My company keeps records of all calls and vm's.

Always calls several times per day, but today literally called over a dozen times reported on my Call Blocker. I don't have an account with Capital One nor any reason to answer their calls. It's ridiculous..

I get calls from them, sometimes messages are left but are recorded.  I was behind on my CapOne credit card,  but recently paid 50% of my total balance.  Its been paid up for over a week now, and Im still getting 3-5 calls per day.  Their systems, if legit should stop these calls.

Payment due on the 15 called said it was important message nothing important about owing money you get it when I send it don't care who it is don't call me till 9 in the morning waking me up look at the finger on the phone beep

I have had many calls from this number. Like a ridiculous amount. Phone has blocked as spam. I now blocked it permanently

Got a live one today. Told them they are most likely a spammer, when they said check tge number, I came back with spoofing. Told them not to call again or the feds will be notified. The person went quiet. Went Sgt Carter on them (I can't hear you)

Have not had an account with them in over a decade.

I received two suspicious calls claiming to be from Capital One. First call was on 9/12/2020 telling me to call 800-955-6600. Then one again today from 800-388-5333 telling me to call the 800-955-6600. I called Capital One today and they had no alerts on my accounts and didn’t know why I was called.  I reported the calls just in case.

1-800-955-6600. It calls every day no message .I answered it one but don't  say anthing.or they do there want my personal  information .They already that if they don't that their problem I don't give personal information ..

Calls kept coming in at least three times a week with this number no message left

just got a few of those calls myself.  I'm doing bancruptcy paperwork because of my loss during covid19.
