They call my place of business 2 or 3 times a day, I answered once and it was just dead air so I've never answered it again. Very annoying!!!

This number has called me every single day for 2 weeks now.  Same BS, they don't leave a message or I get one from "Andy at Capital One".  When I call Capital One(Not the number "Andy" leaves, but the one I know for customer service) they have no idea who he is or why he's calling.  SCAM

I have received several calls from this number. The message is always that they are contacting me about an important business matter. I do have accounts with Capital One and the number does call Capital One. I called them today and they showed no record a phone calls being placed by them to speak to me. Number will be blocked.

This number call a everyday and leaves a message in a female voice about discussing something further. It's blocked on my phone,but I still get a voicemail.

"Linda" calls our business daily and says she has an important business message from Capital One. We do not have a Capitol One credit card and we do not want or need one. I am hanging up on this number, since it's a business and I can't block it. CID only says TOLL FREE.

Calls multiple times a day.  Messages state they are Capital one.  Redial states “capital one”.  I contacted Capital one.  This is not a number in their system.

Several calls a day from 8:00 AM to past 9:00 PM.  These callers never identify themselves.  Very !!!! irritating.

I receive multiple calls daily from this number. I don’t know who it is and let them go to voicemail. They’ve never left a voicemail. Purely speculating, but after reading these posts it sounds like a collections agency contracted by Capital One? I do have a CapOne card, but nothing wrong with my account after calling Capital One directly. Besides, in my experience Capital One is VERY proactive with texts and emails when something fishy is going on with your account. I’ll likeky block this number after reading the posts here.

When in doubt, call the number on the back of your card, even if it's the same number. Scammers can spoof numbers and make it look like it's legit when it's not

We keep getting calls from this number but they only let it ring less than once, just a minor chirp. Not long enough to show up on caller ID so I dialed *69 to get the number. Now I know to ignore them.

this number calls at least 4 times a day and leaves a partial voice to text message that makes no sense. Reading the other comments it seems connected to Capital One. I recently received a Cap One Statement with my name on it that is for an account that I did not open that showed no balance due. I'm reporting this to Capital One.

This number keeps calling my work phone and leaves a message from Capital One about 3 times a week. Always leaves the same recording regarding my Capital one account. I don't have an account with this company nor do I wish to be harassed by them.

The number seems to have the wrong name. I think it is a scam when that number calls asking for the wrong person.

this number has been calling me multiple times a day for MONTHS!! i never answer and they usually leave a robo voicemail about a capital one account i supposedly have. i have NEVER had an account with them. finally today i called them back and the automated message asked for the last 4 digits of my credit card number (that i dont have) or gave me the option to set up a new account. i yelled "representative" into the phone and it took me to a real person! i told them i do not have a capital one account, i dont want one, and to take me off their call list. they lady on the phone said they could do that and it could take 24 hrs for their system to update. fingers crossed that the calls stop now.

Capital One sell the debt to collections for a fraction of the balance, then claim it as a loss to the feds at the end of the quarter.  Any money the collects gets is all profit.  Maybe is should open a collection agency in India and have a 35 year old man named “Amy” harass people for money whether they owe it or not.

Caller ID says CAPITAL ONE, when I picked up, it was recording from a lady named Linda saying to call her back at 866-953-7906. When I called the caller ID number 800-955-6600, it's a recording that says, "Thanks for calling Capital One. Say or enter the last four digits of your card number." When I call 866-953-7906, it is the same recording message saying, "Thanks for calling Capital One. Say or enter the last four digits of your card number."
