Register on the national do not call list then report the number

This number just called me... on a freaking Sunday! Like really? Not answering. Blocking.

I keep getting calls at odd hours. Will block this phone number!

I keep getting these harassing calls from Capital One regarding a debt. I'm working with a credit counseling program to pay off my debt. Capital One is the only one who is refusing to accept payments, but they continue to call me everyday.I don't know who I need to report about this.

The recording I received was from Linda who claimed they had important business to disscuss regarding Capital One.

Finally figured this out... Like many, I don't own any Capitalone cards so I thought this was a scam.  I just recently realized that BassPro sold their Bank Of America accounts to CapitalOne, and CapitalOne was calling to let me know I know have their account.

These calls are scammers trying to get your credit card info. They called me this morning and left a voicemail saying that there was an "important business matter" they needed to discuss with me.
I called back the number that they provided (1-866-953-6600) that was different from the original call number (1-800-955-6600) which threw up a red flag to me and when they asked for my whole account number via an automated message I wasn't giving any information at that point. I hung up the phone and called the customer service number on the back of my credit card and had customer service check my account and there were no issues with my account.

The original number 1-800-955-6600 even came up on my caller id as CAPITAL ONE.
Be vigilant with your information these people are trying very hard to get your personal info.

After multiple calls with no message. Caller left message with Capitol One ID and no other details. I do not have a capitol one account or credit card.

This is a legitimate Capital One number

Means nothing since legit numbers are routinely spoofed. But hey, you want to believe someone calling from this number go ahead-just don't come back here crying about how you were scammed

I receive calls from this number at least 4-5 times per day. The calls mostly start as early as 11am and last 'til about 10pm. They call daily except on Sundays. The name associated with the number comes up as 'Nicole Miller". I've never answered but repetitious voicemails are linked to Capital One. I do have an account with them but. I find this style of debt collecting to be harassing and annoying,at best.

I see all of these complaints are from March 2007, so I have to assume that someone spoofed 800-955-6600 back then, because I just got a call from Capital One about a problem with my account, and it was definitely legit. (I googled the number as it was ringing and saw it was Capital One, so I answered.) They gave me all the details, including dates and amounts. There is no way a scam caller would have that, and their info perfectly coincided with my records that I looked up while we were talking. And, they are crediting my account for the problem. I am writing this so that people who look up this number will check the dates of the complaints and see that this all was over 11 years ago. This number is a valid number for Capital One.

Call late at night. Do not leave voice message.

I received a voicemail from this number (800-995-6600) asking my by name. to call or logon. I returned the call. They answered 'Capitol One' and requested my complete card number. I don't have a Capitol One card, I told them. They were sheepish. I believe they did not represent Capitol One because the first question was 'please read the complete card number' over the phone. I would never read the complete number over the phone. Valid representitives only request the last 4 digits with other questions to verify the identity of the card holder.  Beware!

They call my office at least 5 times a day and it went from Linda to Andy calling about capital one. We answer the autodial does its message then hangs up everytime. It is super annoying

Its a scam. I dont have a Capital One card, they didnt even identify who they were just left a number

"Capital One " is NOT a "debt collector"---stop misleading people with your ignorance...or perhaps you're in on it, and trying to legitimatize it on this board?

Called, rolled into VM, no message.
