These people called me today Caroline and told me they had something that I might not be aware of in their office.  Didn't leave a name of the business or anything.  Told me to call her back.  I'm not calling her back.  If they are legit, then they can mail me the paperwork and a letter that tells me what I owe, if I even owe anything.  I'm not going to be scammed, and they better not call my office.

Why don't these people just get a life and leave the hard working people alone????  They try and try to get money out of us, and we don't even own anything.  Do they really think we are that stupid as to pay something without knowing what it is????

Got a call at work today.  I know these low-lifes can get that information from anywhere, if they hack enough accounts.  Any way, I know my rights under the Fair Collection Act.  If they call me at work again I'm reporting them to the Oklahoma State Attorney General.

I've been called by "Caroline" and "Jade" at least 3 times since August on my cell phone, and several times on my office voice mail.  Every time it is about a matter that I might not be aware of.  Don't they need to identify who they are and who they represent?  These are calls I will never answer, and if it is a legitimate call for a "matter which I might not be aware of", then send me a letter and make me aware of it.  By the way, Mr. Powell or whatever your name is, are you licensed for this business to make people aware of "matters" in the states that you call?

They change names of their business all the time when things get heated for a fresh start. If you read the post from when Mike the ring leader was working at NRS he was a complete [***] to people. Looks like hes trying to take on a different nice guy approach. BTW hes not nice at all..They love to do unauthorized withdrawls from your bank acct. They have all your bank info and will call and put in your last four and if there is anything in the acct they will clean you out and then tell you it is legal because its in the contract you signed! Most people use the last four of their social for their pin number so id advise you change it.

Garbled voicemail message received from Jane (Jade?) 12/21/12. Arrgh, it's the Apocollects! Hehe. Have read this entire thread - very interesting. I have no outstanding debt in the USA, but if this is in relation to an account/s from the 1990s in a European country then call me again and tell me in plain, clear English a) that you are calling from Midwest Fidelity Services, that b) you read this message at 800notes.com, and c) you are attempting to collect on a debt from _______ (European Country). THEN send me details via USPS. Then maybe I'll call you back. Have a Merry Christmas, y'all.

N.B. I just realized (a bit slow this morning) that Mike Powell will have no idea who I am as obviously I'm not going to put my full name here. Hmmmm.... My initials are AH and the cellphone number you called is from the 630 area code. Happy hunting Mr Powell!

I'm sick of getting these calls.  Our son filed bankruptcy about three years ago.  He now lives in another state and they keep calling us to give him a message.  He checked with his bankruptcy lawyer and they said he doesn't owe anybody anything and to just ignore the calls.

I have told them repeatedly that we don't know his phone number, his address and to remove our number from their files.  We still keep getting the calls and now just either not answer the calls or have the answering machine get them.

What I'm wondering after reading these five pages of complaints is why the CEO of a company reads and posts to a complaint board.  If I were running a legit business, I wouldn't have anything to worry about what people are saying about me.

Received a call today, ignored it, on voice mail they were leaving a message for someone with a different name.  I have only had this phone for a few months and keep getting calls for this other person.  When I returned the call to give them this information I was accused of lying.  What a bunch of morons.

Got a call from this number at my office, and they left the following voicemail: There is some paperwork in my office on my desk that I am concerned you may be unaware of. Please call 800-983-5027 and ask for Sarah."

I'm sure there is paperwork on millions of desks around the world that I am unaware of. Nothing about this voicmail makes me want to phone her to find out what's on hers. I'm sure it's a scam.

I had a message on my work voicemail from a Teresa saying she was concerned because she had received some papers on a matter I might not be aware of.  Very sketchy.  No company name.  I do not return calls to numbers without additional info and have not received anything in the mail.  About a year ago I received a similar call that I did return (don't know if it was same firm or not), and then they called Human Resources and told them a warrant was being issued for me.  I contacted an attorney and they said the company had a bad reputation and tried to collect on old debts.  This particular debt had been in a bankruptcy from several years ago!  He said that a warrant was going to be issued here in my state because of this debt.  Made absolutely no sense.  Attorney offered to take the case on if I was harrassed any more.  But nothing more came of it.  This sounds like a similar scam.  Lawyer advised me to NOT return calls to companies that did not identify themselves.  I won't!

She cannot even pronounce my name nor spell it. She said she is just concern. Something was forwarded to her office. Yah right, you are not legit. Legit collection agency does not call. They use the mail. Comprende?

not convinced replies to Mike Powell
Oh please. The way you have treated me is harassment with your multiple names and companies for over 3 years. It is obvious you are not who you say you are (same voices on phone, different name, different companies). A real debtor does not block or spoof their number when calling and will leave more than "we are calling about a debt you may be unaware of"  Sounds more like the other messages that say "if you do not call us back all we can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you." Open and transparent? No highly doubt that one. Open and transparent would  mean you give us validation through the mail and will willingly answer who you are and why you are calling when asked. Not give the comments "we do not have to tell you anything." I will not discontinue bashing you because you are nothing but scummy scammers and deserve no better than bashing.

Calls from this company just recently started, from a woman name Jade or Jada Hernandez. The same as what ever says, "paperwork received on my desk that you may be unaware of", etc., etc.

What made this one bad was that not only did she call my cell, home and work numbers using my name, she called my husband's cell and left a message using BOTH of our names. Husband called back. Rude woman who answered said she was from "Midwest Fidelity Services", but she said it so fast you could barely understand what she said. Then she said she wanted to speak with me. When husband said why, rather than realizing she had my husband on the phone, she again rudely asked for me. After she realized who she was speaking to, then she snidely said, "why didn't you say so". Of course, husband got upset and told her to get off the phone.

If this is a legitimate company with a legitimate reason to contact me, you do it IN WRITING. I don't reply to any "debt collectors", if that's what they really are, over the phone. Don't call, WRITE, so you can prove the supposed debt I owe.
