Ah wrong, we just spoke to Wells Fargo and it is a scam and they are aware of it and are working on it.
and do you have to call someone a name because you are just proving you are what you called the person, Funny, how the Wells Fargo person I just spoke with after calling the number on the back of my credit card did a check and this phone number is not one of their numbers. And I have never had a Wells Fargo staffer ask me for my full social security number and account number and I have been with them since 1991!

I don't know who it was but they called at 8am on a Sunday, there's no way it's legitimate.  

I made my payment yet continue to receive phone calls on a Saturday at 8:15 and 9:30 am.... This company can go pound sand up their ass.... I absolutely hate Wells Fargo

Well, did not answer this call. But, I looked online and, sure enough, I had forgotten payment to my Wells Fargo credit cards. So, I went online and paid it. However, did not call the number back.

I don't know why this number call me but I would like it to stop

Got a call from this number today. It definitely is Wells Fargo and I was late on my payment. They had all my information... Didn't have to give them my card or account number. They had me verify my address and name and last four of my social. The representative waived my late fee. The information she had matched all the information on my online banking. She also helped me set up auto pay and I didn't even have to give her my checking account number as she already had all of that information. If it was a scam she sure was a nice scammer reversing my late fee and helping me set up auto pay so I can avoid missing my payments in the future :)

I don't have an account or credit cards with Wells Fargo so why call me about a payment I missed?!! Sounds scammy to me, just saying...

It is Wells Fargo....you are total idiots....those who have posted that it is a scam are just posting to be posting. Wow....trolls!

...have been known to "spoof" legitimate numbers.  So while some calls may in fact, be from Wells Fargo, others could be from scammers or spammers.  Looks like you're the "total idiot".

I don't have a Wells Fargo account and keep getting cell calls from this #.

FAKE WELLS FARGO # 800-988-8019 calling non-stop, i called wells fargo to confirm, they do not recognize this phone # and its a scam, beware, they are these type of callers calling harrassing people with threats to pay bills or else and demand credit/debit card #, report them to FCC here is their link:

Calls several times every day.
I have never done business w/ Wells Fargo so there's no reason for me to believe it's them.
I have no bills.  I am delinquent in nothing.  So it wouldn't be a bill collector.
NO ONE has my cell number. It's only for outgoing medical emergency calls IF I ever have one.
I am listed on the  DO NOT CALL REGISTRY  so I doubt it's a legitamate business.
They never leave a message.
My guess is it's a robo scam of some sort.
I answer no calls from unidentified callers.

UPDATE: contacted VERIZON WIRELESS regarding the never ending calls.  They confirmed that it is in fact Wells Fargo. They blocked the call for me for 90 days, renewable for an additional 90, FREE.   In the meantime they did say they would send it to their security / fraud dept to verify whether or not at a  phishing scam just in case.
Then I contacted WF locally  today regarding  the unrelenting calls to my cell, which by the way is a fairly new number for me, a number in which no one but I know.  WF confirms that the number is actually theirs.  It IS  a collections dept of WF.   I informed them that I  do not and never have done business w/ their company or their subsidiaries., that I pay cash for eveything. They of course wanted SS #, credit card number etc which I was unwilling to provide. That was not a problem.    Everything went smoothly and politely. I  treated them w/ respect and they were quite respectful to me.   The general concensous is that  MY new number probably previously belonged to a  customer of theirs who is delinquent.  I believe THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOVLED.

They asked me for Wells Fargo bank account number to approve my loan application I made at... BOA!

This number, 800-988-8019,  keeps calling me and never leave a message. If it's from Wells Fargo they will leave a message.
