- Joseph Keeney| 1 reply800-988-8019 is a Wells Fargo number. I know because I called Wells Fargo to check. But when I call them back there is 2 1's in front of the number. What we are looking at is a spoofed number where it looks good to begin with but then morphs into something else. I get these kind of calls and scam calls constantly yet they don't bother me because I use Sentry II. Of interest, is the fact that many people I know do not receive these calls. My opinion is that anyone who receives scam and nuisance and spoofed calls constantly is on some sort of list. If you look carefully at the criminal element in our government it is not a stretch to imagine a population out there supporting the criminals in office and causing harassment at the same time.
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- Joseph KeeneyJust wanted to clarify part of my previous post--the part starting with... But when I call them back [using the 800-988-8019] two 1's show up in front of the number on my caller-ID.
- Caller: Spoofed Wells Fargo number
- Joseph KeeneyToday, April 16th, the same Wells Fargo call: 11800-988-8019. The only new information I can add is that my Sentry II Call blocker is being tested by use of the two-1's in front of the number. They know that I have blocked their spoofed Wells Fargo number, so by placing the 1's in front of it, they hope to by-pass my system--no luck for these terrorists.

- Joseph KeeneyI tried to register with 800Notes but it failed. Apparently they want me to post using some long digits like 8765457789 instead of using my name (even though I met their criteria)

- Pa| 1 replyPlease make this number 1-800-988-8019, to stop calling me. I have a old phone, flip phone and I can't block it. It's from wells fargo but nothing seems to help it if I call wells fargo!!!!
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- Joseph Keeney replies to PaTry the Sentry II. You can get it on Amazon.

- Rich| 1 replyJUST got three calls on June 4th from the above #. Called my personal banker with WF she said it's a legit WF call center number. Went online and yep, I'm the dufus who was late. Paid my cc bill online and everyone's happy. Calls stopped as well.
i.e.: it is Well Fargo and it's legit.- Caller: Wells Fargo

- Liz replies to CFSame. Called me 15 times in the last two days. Never had a Wells Fargo Account, never will.
- LizCalled me 15 times in the last two days. Never had a Wells Fargo Account, never will.
- JoeyDee replies to RichAnother shill pops up. Why would this legitimate number be calling people who have no association or account or anything with Wells Fargo? I get email from them all the time: never ever had a WF account.
Know what? Maybe you're not a shill (but you are): maybe you're just a fool who got taken by the WF Scammer. - John K| 1 replyAll of you that are saying this is a scam are f-ing ridiculous. Does it make you feel better to try and run from Wells Fargo? I have a Wells credit card that I was late on. They called. I had to pay. End of story. Not sure what color the sky is in some of your worlds, but stop acting like you are entitled. You have the debt, so stop acting like the world owes you something and companies shouldn't be calling you...you all suck at life.
- Caller: Wells Fargo

- PattiCalled within a two hour time frame, and since they keep calling a business, they keep hanging up when the call is answered. If this is really a Wellsfargo call, then they need to train their employees on how to handle calls properly.
- AnonymousCheck the number carefully, the call I got had the country code +11, which is Brazil, but when I put in the number in Google for the search, it came up with this thread. The double one's make it easy to miss that it's not a US number, because at least my phone doesn't display it as +11. They've called me 4 times, starting on Sunday morning and have not left a single message. And while I do have accounts with Wells Fargo, none of them are in arrears, and if this were a call from Wells Fargo to alert me of fraudulent activity, they would have left a message (trust me, I've gotten more than one of those).
- teenerMy office number has received calls from this number for months. No messages were left.
Very annoying. - Joseph Keeney replies to John KI never had an account with Wells Fargo.

- ikcarolPlease folks...PLEASE, I have a blocked # phone, and I called "Wells Fargo" (800 988 8019)....they are using computer inputs to pretend they're Wells Fargo (and they're not very good at it). We were in a room with several people and put this 'rep' on the speaker phone. His accent was SO THICK, everyone in the room was laughing so loud. (It is a computer generated voice, because repeated the same EXACT statement 2x). If anyone believes ALL these calls, I'll sell them a bridge in Brooklyn, NY !
