This phone number has called me 7 times in the last two days.  What gives.

I'm on the Do Not Call list but lately have been receiving several calls. last one was 801-484-1107 from Salt Lake City. As I don't know Any one there I assume it's a solicitor looking for money. If you're reading this, BUG OFF PLEASE.

BUG OFF, I'M TIRED OF TELEMARKETERS DISTURBING ME. PLEASE TAKE MY NUMBER OFF YOUR CALL LIST.  BY THE WAY, I'M ALREADY ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST.

When you call, the only option you have is to give them your phone number (supposedly to remove your phone number from their list).  If this company works with charities, why don't they have a different message?  They always hang up when I answer.  If they provide a service, why don't they do anything but ask for your phone number?

The "hangups" are a result of a device that is very unfair that simultaneously dials random numbers and connects with the first one that picks up.  The rest of us get stuck listening to dead air.  THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MAKE EXCEPTIONS TO RULES!!!!  If ALL callers were banned from don not call activity, no one would think he/she is an exception.  This is what your idiot lawmakers do to ruin good legislation.  Tell your senators and reps that you want NO one to be exempt as right now political calls and charities are exempt.

I found their "answer" number in Utah and management knew nothing about any of this. you maight want to let them know what their call center is doing to us and to their reputation:

Chris, With all due charity, if you read a newspaper or listen to the news for a while you will hear stories of bad people who cheat nieve people out of their money with stories under circumstances like these. A word to the wise is sufficient, others who can't learn by mistakes or others will suffer the same fate.

constant calls from this uninvited spam caller

I got a call from this number at 9:00 pm. As I read through the comments on this site, the reference to AOPA made it clear how they got my number. This REALLY irks me as I always thought of AOPA as an upstanding, professional organization. Is this how they treat members in good standing? ... by giving out their phone numbers when their renewals are due (not expired!)? I always figure if it is truly a legit BUSINESS call, they would not be calling me at 9:00 at NIGHT. Doesn't matter where THEY are, anyone who wants to be considered legit and professional will take the moment to see what time it is FOR THE PERSON THEY ARE CALLING and not be so inconsiderate to interrupt their evening *OR* possibly even wake them up to deliver whatever sales pitch. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE, and I'm now done with AOPA. Nice going!...NOT.

We receive calls every evening right in the middle of dinnertime. It has become extremely annoying and I need some resolution. I am on a Do Not Call list and have reported this number. I contacted the company directly via phone and computer to have my number removed with no results.

I have gotten over 12 calls from WHOEVER THESE IDIOTS are......my phone rings twice, I answer, and they hang up......12 calls are on my CALLER ID................and I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

PHONE CALLS at 3:00 and 1:30 AM - intolerable!

I live overseas in the 670 area code.

Always call and hang up.

I do not now or at any time have ever given personal information over the phone unless I  place the call.  
if i do not no you do not call me in my motto.

I just put them in my contact list as "do not answer"

As Tom mentions on Page one of this -so far- 16 page string, companies that work on BEHALF of non-profits and other "public interest" organizations must abide by DO NOT CALL rules. Yes they called my number this month too. I can only suspect the reason from the comments I read, but now that I expect them to get persistent, I placed them on my BLOCK CALLER service list. I have been getting calls from this numbers at all hours but when I picked up the phone no one was there so I hung up the phone since then when I see caller ID I just don't pick it up any more.  It is annoying.

Please stop all calls from this number. They have been calling for two weeks consistently.

So how is it that charities report that they receive only 20% of the contributions?  I would never never never ever give money to a telephone solicitation that comes from a 3rd party - you have NO WAY to find out whether it is legit or not. 95% of the calls are these low feeding fund raising companies.  Once I find out which charity they are supposedly trying to raise money for I send a letter to the charity to complain about repeated annoying calls and also stop contributing to that charity. Even if a charity calls me directly, I would never give out information; I tell them if they want me to contribute, send paper mail.

And the fundraising companies call at al hours of the day and night, which is extremely annoying and if you dare to complain they will tell you tough luck.

And why do the charities continue to use robo caller machines, which if you are stupid enough to answer, gives silence and no human ever comes on the line?  I thought they had been outlawed.

Fortunately I have caller ID, so when I recognize these creeps I simply answer the phone and hang up immediately to stop the ringing.

"professional fundraisers" are about as trustworthy as used car salesmen. Never ever give them money.
