The wise one said: "Some people want your business, others want only your money."

Way to go using children and family members as bullet shields against plausible complaints about yet another "phoner toner" scheme. Your victims have families at home, too. You don't get to decide whose is more important.

Alan S, what marketing firm do you work for? What call center do you work at? Where's the telephone solicitor license for this business? What gives this business the right to cold call customers or businesses? Does this business follow all rules regulations and laws relating to state and federal consumer protection?
Appears you work for a bunch of whiners according to additional notes on their BBB report. Start your complaints there then to all state and federal agencies to expose predatory business practices.

The person is being rude from the very moment they make an unsolicited sales call to someone who isn't a current customer.

Yes, under the Do Not Call laws it's legal to telemarket (make unsolicited calls) to businesses. But ethical businesses do what's *right*, not simply what's legal.

I work as an Account Manager for Coast to Coast, and we do business the right way. There is no outsourcing or call centers.  Just good old American jobs with dedicated employees.  Obviously, no one is perfect but I love my coworkers and bosses. They are wonderful people a pleasure to work with/for.  I recommend giving us a shot, chances are you be singing our praises soon.

I probably know more about printers and toner than any of your 200 employees.  Maybe I'll find someone willing to sell me your client portfolio and start offering your clients the same services as you at a cheaper rate with better service.  Now why don't you take your phony hoop-la and self promotion over to the porno sites you tend to frequent and see if they are more impressed with your imaginary prowess an talents.

Flirting will get you nowhere except maybe a scortched head... our dragon likes to toast fakes and frauds and shills.
So if people like you so much, how can you account for 39 BBB complaints

    http://www.bbb.org/santa-barbara/Business-Rev ... aints#breakdown

    example

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! Lying, deceitful and rude. Our company was originally contacted by Coast to Coast to "try" their products. I spoke with a very nice lady who confirmed multiple times that we would not be obligated to pay anything. I was very skeptic about what she was pitching to us. After agreeing to test their products on, and I quote "her dime", we were mailed two toners, one for each printer type we use. Still being very skeptic after receiving toners, I did not open the boxes. I was advised by this lady that I would receive an invoice and to just hang on to it, that I was not obligated to pay for it. A little over a month later I started getting harassed for the $600 worth of toners. I called multiple times to speak with the original lady who pitched this fabricated sale to us. She magically was "unavailable". After questioning and questioning person after person, only to be told "does that make sense to you?" and "why are you just now trying to take care of this invoice, its been 47 days" and finally being told "we don't need to do business with people like you!", I was finished with them. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE skills what-so-ever. They are rude and a bunch of scam artists. I wish I had followed my gut and never given them the time of day. Never in my life have I ever been treated this way.

Sounds to me like CoastToCoast is nothing but a scam company who's soul raison d'etre is to line to pockets of their top brass and say "screw you" to your loyal customers.  Maybe you should consider changing careers because by the time we get through with you you are going to want to take up deep sea fishing so you can hide your sorry a$$ from us.

Thanks for a partial reply Alan! So, no outsourcing and all telemarketing business is conducted internally  under your marketing and sales sections. Under your BBB report it shows no telemarketing license listed. This is a unknown and unwanted phone call complaint site. You are adept at business self promotion and avoidance of acknowledging what you read or what is said. You may also want to look up the words "shill" and "spam" as they're used within these threads. Also is this you?   http://www.linkedin.com/pub/alan-lott/21/96/797 http://www.yellowpages.com/orlando-fl/mip/coast-2-coast-promotional-marketing-464567397

Jack of All Trades, Master of Several replies to Katie
    Katie,
Have you listened to the rest of the people on here regarding this phone #? This "Alan S." sounds like a new twist on the old "bad cop (sales rep.) - good cop (sales manager)" routine. "Beware of the wolf in sheep's clothing!"
If Alan S. IS who he says he is, I would ask him this, Why are you using a TM firm that harasses people to the point that they feel the need to come here and report YOUR Company as a PITA (Pain In The A$$)? OR, even worse, are these your own sale people who are using these rude, aggressive, and vulgar tactics to get your name listed here? THEY are giving your company, no matter how good it really is, a VERY BAD Reputation. The proof is right here!!
I have owned our business since I started it up just over 47 years ago, and I have had to deal with all kinds of marketing techniques and sales pitches. They keep changing but I have to say that they have gotten so bad lately that I have told all our Legit suppliers reps to see me In Person if they want to pitch a new product or a line that might help us. It's good for their business to get some face-to-face time with their customers, too. Do NOT call on the phone with a "NEW and IMPROVED" sales-pitch because too many Telemarketers (TMs) are doing that, and They're using "CID spoofing", too. If we do not recognize your voice and know who you are, you will get disconnected. Yes, I know, legit callers get a raw deal, I'm sorry but it's our TM policy. I can not have our people wasting time with scamming TMs. It's gotten to that point.  AND, .... NEVER use an outside TM "boiler room" to do your advertising for you. You will lose our business if you do. Remember, we have your phone # and we Will call you, whenEVER we need something.
OUR sales people will do cold calls as a matter of good business but I NEVER allow ANY of our sales people to be anything other than polite and courteous, and respectful of the people in our potential customer base. I frequently pick-up the extension and listen in on outgoing sales calls to ensure that our sale people are representing MY Company in a respectful manner. Our people know from the day they start work here that I will do this and they strive to always be at their best, not because I might be listening, but because it's the way they should be. I know this for a fact because I have gotten to know a large number of our employees personally, and I know many of their families as well. If you ask to be called back at a better time, that will happen - at Your convenience. If you ask not to be call again, we will thank you for your time and Immediately remove your name and # from our calling list (strictly in house, never distributed to ANYone else). We will let you know that if you Would like our help at Any time in the future, you have our phone # so please feel free to call us. This is how we ourselves would like to be treated.
We have a stable small business, gradually growing over the years, and mildly profitable. Our sales and service is maintained to large part by word of mouth from satisfied customers, but also supplemented by no-pressure, informational calls to referred potential customers. I am not promoting My business here (so no names) but, I am saying that if you run your (any) business with your customers and Potential Customers best interest in mind, and you treat them like you want to be treated, you will have a loyal, and productive customer base. If however, you resort to outsourcing your marketing, and let rude, obscene persons, who don't care at all about Your business for anything other than the pittance of money they earn, make your calls for you, .... You get a place on 800Notes.com, and a LOT of BAD publicity. Then, ... you lose MUCH more than you saved by using them.
I have decided to fight back against these unscrupulous TMs the best way I know. I figured I would go right to the snakes head, the companies themselves that use these scammers. I have cancelled contracts with a few companies, and have stopped making donations to several places that USE these harassing TMs, and I have let them know exactly why! They will get no more of our business, or of my donations! These TMs Are Bad For Business. So, If you do choose use them, be prepared for the "back-spray" from the proverbial "fan".
    >>> To "Alan S.",
If you really Are who you say you are, WAKE UP!! You better get All your sales and marketing people under control ! They are killing your name and your potential profits with their bad and unforgivable behavior. Just by seeing the kind of people you have contacting the buying public on your behalf, as posted here, I wouldn't go near Coast to Coast for our supplies. If you have people like this working for you, You don't deserve our business, and I can not afford to have our company connected in any way with a business that has seemingly worked so hard to gain a place on 800Notes.com pages. This is not like getting a good spot on "Angie's List". Even if Coast to Coast is in good with the BBB, THIS marketing mess is really bad for business!
If you are using a "TM warehouse" to do your sales work for you, Get off your butt and do your own work(!), ... and get rid of the TMs! Run away from them like they were the plague, because they really are! They are costing You your good name and are ruining your business. Regardless of Which "sales group" they come from (your own or a TMs), the people they contact, your potential customer base, are bad-mouthing your company to others faster than you can do the damage control. The proof is right here in front of you, on these past 6 pages! That's why I'm here in the first place.
A word of advice: If you DON'T get your callers under control, ... don't forget to duck (from the spray mentioned above). The stench is really hard to remove and it lasts a LONG time. Sometimes it's fatal.
