Called and asked for our IT manager by name. Left on hold for 4 minutes until they hung up. Note to Coast to Coast: Our IT manager is not responsible for ordering any toners, ink cartridges, etc., so you are wasting your time and mine.  The company that services our copiers, scanner, faxes, etc., handles that for us.  I have been with my company for 10 yrs., and so has our "copier guy"; we are quite satisfied with their services.  That is also why whenever I get a call that shows "private caller" on the work phone and the first thing out of their mouth is: "I'm calling so we can send you the updated manual on your copier.  I need the model number",  I immediately hang up. Not going to be tricked into getting a bunch of junk toner and then get billed double the cost.

Rude, pushy, and persistent cold caller by the name of Aaron Wells. He was calling from Coast to Coast about ordering print supplies. I asked him if the person was expecting his call and his reply was "well no, kinda, sorta, not really". Yeah...whatever.

In an Anonymous platform like this people engage in defamatory and false statements like a rant party without worry of legal ramifications. If you are powerful enough to state defamation and inflammatory comments own it and put your name and company in the publication. Otherwise everyone will just think what you just might be a competitor or loser with too much time trying to trash a successful company that has been in business for almost 30 years. Companies search high and low to find such motivated sales force. If CTC has placed millions of calls in almost 30 years of service and gets a handful of complaints (if these complaining posts are even real) I would says that is great service. I am a ctc customer and their private label Diamond Series products gives me great product with huge savings. I will never buy ink again at Staples, best buy & other expensive retail stores.

When I picked up the phone, the guy told me I sounded good looking, started laughing, and hung up. This is the first time I had to deal with them. They are never professional when they call. This morning when our receptionist was telling them that we weren't interested, he heard someone in the background prompting the guy on what to say and they tried to bribe us with M&M's. When they called back this afternoon, the guy on the line tried to claim that he had spoken to me this morning which of course I hadn't. I told him we weren't interested and asked to be removed from their calling list. He then tried to claim that he had spoken to the owner this morning, which of course was another lie. I again told him to remove us from the calling list and then I ended the call. He immediately called back and told me that he had really spoken to the owner to which I responded, "Remove us from your list now" and I hung up the phone. We have asked numerous times to be removed from their call list and yet they continue to call us.

The legitimate complaints outweigh the positive comments.  Go to the BBB website as well.  While they may be a great company (as you claim), CTC obviously knows those employed to sell their services leave a lot to be desired in the area of customer service.  Yet, they still continue to use (I assume) a company that employs questionable tactics and blatant rudeness to consumers who have the misfortune of answering their phone calls. Office staff should not have to feel like they called an 800 sex talk like when dealing with some of these borderline obscene telemarketing calls, nor should they be subjected to smarmy, smart-aleck comments from a bunch of losers trying to make a cheesy commission. Thank you, but, NO-I would never consider a opening a contract for anything from a company that almost immediately is on the defensive attack the minute the phone is picked up. IMO, they fall into the category of those companies that send (which of course, you didn't order to begin with) refurbished, after-market toners at high prices.

I received a call from: Coast to Coast the number on the caller ID: 805-426-3760. The man who called asking to speak to who ever is in charge of purchasing ink in our office was EXTREMELY RUDE!! We do not have time in a medical office to take harassing phone calls. I think if we say we are not interested and please don't call our number again that would stop Coast to Coast from continuing to call our office. Nope!! It's hard to believe a business would operate this way, that is not how you gain more customers.

We have hundreds of thousands of regular clients who save a substantial amount of money through us.  I know you were trying to protect your company from what you thought was a scam but the truth is you would have benefited from taking the time to speak with our sales person.

Feel free to call us and see what we can do for you."

We would not have benefited at all considering our copier lease agreement INCLUDES toner. Why should I let you waste my time and try my patience?  But do, call again.  I'd be very happy to waste as much of your time as I possibly can.

Even if you are legitimate, phone sales is quite possibly the worst method of reaching your client base.  Look into "pull marketing" instead of the very tired and useless "push marketing" strategy you currently employ.

    So, it went like this;
"Thank you for calling Blah Blah Blah."
"Who's the person in charge of ordering you ink and toner supplies?" Not a hello, not a company ID, not an introduction, just RIGHT out of the gate with hopes of confusion...SURE fire sign of a scam
"You don't have the name of the individual you need?" This always helps shake out the cold-callers
"Would it be IT, or the office manager...or" again, clearly trying to create confusion. Legit companies don't do this. They never will.
"I'm sorry, I can't transfer you without a name, but I can give you an e-mail address where you can send any information." Everyone in our company knows that they can always come to me if they ever need idea on where to go for anything, as I keep and itemize emails from well behaved companies.
"Oh, I'll just keep moving forward."  Not here you won't. Coast to Coast (we have caller ID) has been flagged as scammers.
Suffice it to say, this is not the first call we've gotten, And I've told them repeatedly to take us off their call list, but they refuse. Apparently.

Got a call from this number, caller ID shows COAST TO COAST.  It was zapped by phone tray, so they must have called at some point in the recent past for me to enter their number into the blocked list, even though I don't remember getting a call from this company before.  From reading the comments here and at the BBB page, they're apparently a scammy company who gets companies to agree to let them send printer supplies and then overcharges them.

So, I see that this thread is infested with company employees trying desperately to convince you this company is NOT a toner-phoner scam.

But if you read the complaints on the BBB website, you'll that they CLEARLY are shady as sin.

NO ONE should EVER call you out of the blue and try to sell you office supplies. They will, no doubt, send you inferior products are inflated prices.
DO NOT give them the model number off your copier
DO NOT give them your name
DO NOT confirm any information they may use to send you a phony invoice or crappy products.

“Hi, this is Kenny. I’d like to speak to the person in charge of ordering toner and ink.” Hung up and blocked.

VERY interesting comments here (read the one about free M&Ms - it's not the first time I'm reading they offer free M&M's. Seriously?)

I don't believe you're a satisfied customer, I believe you are one of THEM. There is ample proof ALL OVER the internet of their deceptive phone tactics and in your face rude behavior. All I had to do was enter the name in Google and I instantly found complaint after complaint about defective and/or substandard products. It sounds like they buy expired ink and sell it to their victims - er, customers - at double the price. So sorry, not buying what you're selling.

You sounded good looking? Whether you are or not, that's offensive from some idiot on the phone trying to sell you something. What a schmuck (Per Wikipedia: "... one who is stupid or foolish; or an obnoxious, contemptible or detestable person.")

SCAMMERS R US! The overwhelming majority of their reviews are ONE STAR. Yelp, in their infinite wisdom and routine day to day practices, has hidden 41 of those reviews and they don't count toward the 2.5 rating this company has on their site. Overall, this company would have a less than 0 rating if Yelp counted all reviews as they should.

    http://www.yelp.com/biz/coast-to-coast-computer-products-inc-simi-valley?hrid=ro6NZ_-OkGtC_CJNFbSFGQ&utm_campaign=search_listing&utm_medium=partnership&utm_source=yahoo

In the case of the hidden reviews - for ONCE I (mostly) agree with them hiding them. There are pages of 5 star ratings and it's glaringly obvious they are "plants" - there were 18 five star ratings between 8/13/13 to 9/12/13, that's ONE MONTH. Come on Coast to Coast, did you really think people were going to believe that you suddenly had EIGHTEEN customers who just had to extoll your virtues? With nothing but bad reviews before and after that time frame? You obviously think people are stupid. Joke's on you.

Even better: there's a five star rating dated 4/2/15. The name on the account says John S. The review is SIGNED "Howard Paul Shore, First Time Customer" Really?????

    See those reviews at:

Needless to say, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
