It's CitiBank letting you know that you have defaulted on a payment. In my case it was because the late payment put me over my limit. The number is legitimate.

I continue to receive calls from numerous numbers I've complained about and filled out a complaint form thru the FTC, FBI Tip Line and now the IC3.gov website.  This 816-420-1002 continues calling my house and cell phone.  They leave no message, however, I have answered and they ask for Umar ???, can't understand the last name because of this man's thick middle-eastern accent.  I've told him I am not Umar, asked if I sound like Umar, told him to take me off his calling list, he refuses until I give him my full name.  I have told him he does not need my name to take me off his calling list, he obviously has the number, (I will not give any of them my full name, god only knows what these pieces of s**** can do with that).  He still refuses and when I ask to speak to his supervisor he will not allow me to.  He says I'm being uncooperative.  I know for a fact, whatever buisness they want to claim to be, I know who I owe money to and who I don't owe money to, they are not one of those companies/SCAMMERS.  I'm sick and tired of these scam phone calls, I've gotta believe no matter who they say they are, they're not legitamate or they'd simply take me off their calling list per my request because I am not Umar ?????.  They start calling me at 7:00 and don't stop until around mid-night or so.  It's saturday right now, it's 12:38 and they've called me 6 times already on my cell phone.  I wish whoever these idiots are would be caught and stopped.  I'm sick and tired of not being able to have a normal conversation with someone on my house or cell phone without these morons beeping in.  They've been harrassing me since January of 2008, I have not sent them one red penny, so I'm not sure why they continue to call other than to be a major nuisance.  Other than file these complaints to the right government agencies, I don't know what else to do.  I'll welcome any advise anyone has.

I agree with the last post - Kayla Again. I have like one or two late payments, but I have a good reason. I've been with Citicards for about 5 years and now they have been calling my cell phone practically everyday. I have spoken to two of them already and they are still harassing me. Asking me if I can make a payment now over the phone. One of them answered and spoke to me like she was my friend!!

So I said no I'm not giving you my information or any money today. Luckily my phone has Ignore on it, so I just ignore the number and it automatically goes to voice message when they call. It doesn't bother me because my phone doesn't ring when they call. And if it's not a phone number i recognize i don't pick it up and let voice message pick up. If its important, they will leave a message but it's not. They just want their money promptly.

This is CitiCorp's number. I called it back and that's what it said. I was late on a payment and didnt realize it.

I have been called 6-8 times every day for the last two weeks.  It is a recording stating they are from "Associated Bank" and requesting I enter my ZIP code.  It is most annoying because calls start before 0800 and continue past 2100 hours.

I have no accounts of any type with "Associated Bank".  There is an Associated Bank in Madison WI (I live in ME) and when I called them they stated their credit cards are serviced by Citibank.  I wonder if there is a connection with other postings.

These morons keep calling me too, like FOUR times in one day. Isn't that harrasment? I did talk to an actual person who said it was something from like back in 1998. Nice try. Fail. I never owned a citicard. They are also very very stupid. So because I know my own name and my mothers address that MUST mean I know about this account? Double Fail. God these people aren't even people. they are like locusts. It's not my debt. Stop calling or I will get at least 3 lawyers I know personally on you all.

BTW they lie, one of them LIED to my gf and said they could have her arrested. Flat out lied. That person should be fired. I started receiving calls from this number at 8am this morning and have received 7 more since. What can I do to make it stop? No messages have been left and I am not overdue on any credit cards.

816-420-1002 is Citi credit card company.  Usually their department if there is a problem with being late or something.

This number is a fraud (816-420-1002). Do not answer their calls. Do not give them any information. Just hang-up.

Yes, I have received 4 calls from this number in the past 3 days, it is CitiCard/AT&T Universal Card. I don't know why they're calling me, I pay my bills on time, on-line every month.

As everyone says. This is definitely Citibank. I was passed due on my card payment as well. Called them back and got it squared away.

This number has been calling me, leaving no VMs, just some tone when either I, or my VM, picks up. It's obnoxious!!!

This number has called me 6 times. Twice yesterday & 4 times (so far) today. When I answer or check the voice mail left by them it's just this weird sound then it hangs up. I called back & it was an automated message saying it was Citi Corp. asking for my account #. Not falling for it. I would think if it was really Citi their thing would work right. Not just play a stupid sound then hang up.

I also got the automated voice message when I called after they called me about 6 times today, but I hanged up after it asked for a password. I called Citibank and they said they didn't have any record of calling me today.

Got a call on Sunday morning. The automated voice system asked for a person I do not know. I thought my ID got stolen!
