Or, you could simply send Citibank a certified, return receipt letter telling them to stop calling you, which would solve your problem permanently.  Of course you could do nothing and hope that you don't run out of blocking spaces, but will still be getting the calls and the harassment.  Your choice.

Continued calls over and over every day, I am sick of them.

My case is a bit different. The last few months I have been receiving calls from this number and a few others, which say Citi on the caller ID. Although most are hang-ups, some DO leave messages, for some guy I've never heard of. I picked up during one message and spoke to the woman, who said she was looking for this guy (forget the name) that I've never heard of. I told her that I've had this number for 11 years, she could Google it and SEE who the number belongs to (without actually telling her my name). She promised to take my number off their list, but lo and behold, I am now getting calls from a DIFFERENT Citi number wanting to talk to Mystery Guy. I suspect that some conman made up a number at random, which happened to be mine, to open an account with them. I'm not sure what to do next. I DO have a Citi card, but I pay my bill IN FULL each month, not just the minimum. And NO Home Depot or Best Buy card.

Well, you could use my suggestion from July 8th and send them a certified, return receipt "not me" letter.

I believe this is a legitimate number from Citi.  My call was regarding a missed payment.  Statement, literally, lost in the mail (still like hard copies).  I didn't call this number back, but after the 2nd call, I called the number on the back of my credit card.  They couldn't have been nicer.  Squared my account and all is right with the world.  Happy to get the calls, else late fees would add up.  They're usually happy to credit you the 1st one as long as you haven't had another in 12 months on the same account.  I initially ignored calls after reading here that someone had called Home Depot Credit and didn't have a balance, so they believed it was a scam.  That person's payment might have simply crossed, so by the time he called, it was no longer showing a balance.

I have been receiving calls from this number from early morning to early evening. I do not answer and it goes to voicemail with no message. It has been occurring for at least 1 month.

Received and missed a call from 816-420-4632 today. The guy said I have a past due on my credit card, and ask me to pay on phone. I refused right away because I just realized it may be a scam right away. Luckily didn't agree to pay right away.

So was this like right away?

I receive calls from this number daily, sometimes several times a day, how annoying. Also just a tip, if they say this call may be recorded and you say don't record me then they are not allowed to talk to you. I don't answer these calls.

They call multiple times a day and at odd hours. I have never answered, and they have never left a message. I don't have any reason to answer a call from this state, so if it was important there would be a message left. I have the number blocked, and even with this my phone shows the attempted calls, which I have clocked at 4 more times since blocking.

It's a scammer

I don't have Citi so I have no idea why they called me. Because I never answer the phone that I spend $100 to use. Total BS. so frustrating.

It's gotta be. I don't have Citi, am cutting back on cards, just shut down my FB accounts, no  one has anything on me that I know of tho weird stuff is happening.  A return to a merchant was taken off my deck and I was sitting right here  !
My step mother's email address has gone weird and I wrote to her recently, she's not getting Reply messages.

2 week late n a promise to pay the 200 or so by beg of month n they go mental. Hate these guys.

Called cell 10/23/2018 2:28 pm EST no caller id no message = I don't answer. Blocked. Been getting a lot of these odd calls past few weeks. Guessing Medicare Open Enrollment period and scammers somehow have gotten my number. This has to be illegal?!

They keep calling me. I don't have a Citibank card. They are now blocked. They leave no message, just keep calling. Next is a complaint to the FCC. If everyone complains to the FCC something may get done.
