- anonymousLeft a voicemail from a local number. No person or company name provided. The message starts "You may have talked to some people in other departments who painted you in a negative light. I'd like to give you an opportunity to respond.... This is an attempt to collect a debt." The number appears to be connected to Summit Receivables. They did something similar to me two years ago, and agreed to stop calling me after I submitted a complaint to CFPB.

- Joyce BrooksI am constantly getting calls several times a day from this number, someone who say their name is Paul. I want them to stop.
- Caller: Paul

- Perplexed/9848 replies to DougGot a call from a "Paul"; didn't say who he was calling about; used the same verbiage as yours... the caller i.d. showed a prefix (512); asked I call the (844)498-6545 number. Since I get so many collection calls for so many people (obviously fishing calls), I didn't call back. It's irritating, though, the intimidation tactics they use to get anyone to call them back!
- FrustratedChelsea from Summit called displaying a 352 number for the ID, but left a message with this number 844-498-6545, asking for someone else. Annoyed to be getting collection calls for others, frustrated they are using local numbers, and mad that i know it is going to be a hassle to call and explain they have the wrong number. Time to find out how to block.
- Caller: Summit Receivablrs
- Fed UpHis phone message said he wanted to confirm their automatic withdrawal from my checking account! I owe no one any money. I did not authorize anyone to withdraw from my account. His name was John. Caller ID says Santa Maria and the calling phone number is 805-360-5793. His call said to call 844-498-6545. He said it is about a debt. I have no debts. Summit Receivables? Southern Receivables? Garbled message.

- DonnaReceived a call from this 863-250-3482 (a local number) and requested a call back to the 844-498-6545 number. Name-unavailable. Message was marked urgent from Mr. Lewis; did not say who they were calling for; stated this was in regard to a withdrawal from my checking account and they needed to verify information. It caught my attention as I recently had someone steal my checking account information and use it to pay for a lyft ride in California on NYE. No other information. How would they know I had my checking information stolen? Very creepy.

- MeauxMessage from John King (or Ging, b/c the lady said “his name is Ging with a G.” This was the first red flag. Said I had an old debt, wrote some bad checks, wanted to discuss over the phone. Told him I was unfamiliar. Wanted to verify some personal info. Told him if he did, in fact, have a debt that belonged to me, he needed to send me something in writing. He said he didn’t need to send me anything, that I needed to set up a payment plan or he would contact my employer. I told him good luck. He (or someone from the number) proceeded to call me back to back a few times after I hung up. I have no idea of the debt he spoke of. And I know better than to discuss any personal info over the phone. Will be reporting them. He said the company was Summit Receivables.

- AggravatedMr. Edwards has called twice. Says he only has a limited time to talk to me because they "want to move forward". Calls from a local number, but leaves this number to call back. Know he is spoofing the local number. Never mentions a company, but I googled it to find the company. Wrote to them asking for written validation and have heard nothing.
- Matthew replies to RonnieSame just happens to me wonder if it’s a scam??
- CRReceived a call from 480-725-6498 at my work phone, James of Summit left a message about a returned payment? I have no clue about any payment as I didn't set up anything to this company. He didn't leave any info as to what the payment was for nor amount. Threatened to send to their department and recommend arrest if I didn't call 844-498-6545 back. It's unbelievable what these people will say. One thing I do know is that debt collectors are not supposed to call places of employment.
