    SPAMmers are SCAMmers
    1-844-498-6545
    Country: USA
    Nevada (Henderson – Summit Receivables)

I received a call from this number at 1140 hrs this morning and a voice-mail message was actually left this time. Caller ID displayed 'Out of area' and 909-402-2917. Since I was not expecting a call from nor do I even know anybody from or do business with any organization in Nevada, the call was rightfully ignored. Besides, the ‘just too perfect/scripted’ caller (an obvious pre-recorded no name female voice claiming to be with Summit Receivables) left a number (1-844-498-6545) which wasn’t even close to the one which was displayed upon my Caller ID. BTW, Summit Receivables is located in Henderson, NV.

Further internet research had uncovered that there have been several complaints filed against this number (even here at 800notes.com) and many advise that “Spam is Highly Likely”. An additional site has deemed this number as suspicious in nature and it has been designated as ‘Unsafe’ and as ‘SPAM’. This organization has also been reported to the BBB numerous times.

The call was in reference to some sort of (undisclosed) prior conversation I had supposedly had with an unknown representative with regard to an (unknown) outstanding debt. The caller insisted that she needed to speak with me as she wanted some (unknown) clarification and that it was imperative that I contact this organization immediately before she leaves an unfavorable report about me?

The caller threatened with unfavorable consequences for an unknown delinquent debt if I did not return her call immediately. Since I do not have any delinquent debts, it’s only obvious that this call was another SCAMmer SPAMmer which is operating illegally and which has been harassing citizens for several years now and which is now also ‘SPOOFing’ additional telephone numbers...pfft!

I have white listed those numbers from callers whom I know and therefore routinely ignore all other calls from unknown callers (especially when they do not bother to leave a voice-mail message) for the reasons as stated above.

This number has called me multiple times. They are very rude. They threatened me with taking papers out against me. I asked them what I owed, they said $700. I asked them to send me a statement and they told me they had, already.

Called from a 770 area code and when I advised I AM NOT giving my credit card number to some random ass person over the phone. The guy "John" provided the 844 number with an ext. 531. Whenever I receive calls from debt collectors I let them know this call will be recorded and I usually forward to my lawyer if necessary. People !! I highly suggest knowing your rights & obligations when it comes to debt collectors. These people are very fraudulent and possibly rich from scheming so many people.

Just received a call from 813-603-2310 which is local. The voicemail was a pre-recorded message saying they needed to "clarify some time-sensitive information" and directed me to call 844-498-6545. After reading pages upon pages of scam reports about this number I will NOT be calling back!

Very shady debt collector. Called and said they were calling about a direct debit I had authorized from my checking account and they needed me to call them back to verify some information. It wasn't until the very end of the message where they said this is a call from a debt collector.  I don't owe them a cent and I won't fall for this crap but they do this to prey on people who may not catch that they are a shady company.

They also spoof numbers and call from a local number which also skirts the law since number spoofing is illegal if you do so with the intent to defraud someone but not if you mean no harm. They clearly do it to try and trick people  but because it's for a barely legit business it's not illegal.

Stated they were reviewing my file and saw I had made some derogatory remarks to their agents regarding my account. Would like to review the remarks with me:
#1. I have not spoken to anyone regarding a debt in over 2 years
#2. I was NEVER  rude when I did speak to anyone. ( 2 hrs ago) and btw paid that debt off!
    #3. Quit calling

This man, Anthony Amadeo, called from Summit Receivables saying I had outstanding debt, but wouldn't/ couldn't tell me who I supposedly owed money to. Was very rude and nasty. Wouldn't let me get a word in and at one point told me to shut up and listen. Never calls from a legitimate number. Business is based in Nevada but always calls from a local number.

Debt collectors do not have "do not call lists" as they are not telemarketers.  In order to get them to stop calling a cease and desist calling letter must be sent and should be sent certified, return receipt mail.

When first contacted by this company, they called my work #800.
This got routed to a group, i did not receive the call, my boss did, who then took the number down for me to call them back. When i called it back, the women who answered refused to tell me who was calling or what the call was about, she then transferred me to a man "John King" who proceeded to tell me this was an attempt to collect debt, and that they were getting ready to take legal action.

THIS IS THE FIRST I HEARD OF THIS.

I told Mr.King I could not be contacted on this number, and i could not have this discussion at work, that i would call him back after 5 PM.

After 5 PM, i called back the number that he originally called from, 5312081285.
BAD NUMBER, could get through, didn't know the company to which i was calling (because they didn't tell me), so i couldn't google to find a different contact option.

Two days later, at work again, I received another call from Mr. King,  this time on 407 449 7102.  When I answered I told him i had attempted to contact him on the last number, and got a bad number. He huffed under his breath and said "Um, NO."  I replied, Yes, 100%. He then asked what number i called and then gave me another # 844 (Main Line.) I told him again not to contact me at work and I would give him a call on the new number after 5 PM.

Later that day i called the 844, got directed to Mr King.

Mr.King indicated I owed a MUCH LARGER debt than the original loan ever was, and there were payments made - so the debt needed to verified and backed by proof, otherwise i assume this is a violation in his attempt to collect more money than is actually owed.

Firstly, I asked Mr.King for the following items before proceeding to setup an type of payment. I was willing to work with him.

    - Proof of Debt Verification Letter
    - Proof that debt is owned by Company he is working with
    - Copy of original loan agreement
    - Payment History
    - Explanation of how interest was collected on Debt.
    - Proof that State of Limitations was not expired
    - License Number

Mr. King then told me he was not obligated to provide any of those documents, and stated that they had already sent a "Verification" letter to an address I have not lived in for 6+ Months.

I asked him to send it again, I was told no, then I asked why I wasn't contacted VIA Email, he stated that i was sent something by the original creditor. I informed him this was not true, I already went through my Inbox and there is absolutely nothing from the original creditor.

He proceeded to tell me if i didn't pay an amount today, this was going to closing and legal action would be pursued.

I told him i was willing and trying to work with him on repayment, but wouldn't do so until I got what I requested.

This was only the second time we spoke, in a 3 day time span, how could they take legal action - don't I have 30 days?

Then, he "all the sudden" couldn't hear me on the line, I checked to make sure i wasn't on mute. I WAS NOT. I was speaking to him the entire time and asked if he could hear me?

He then said "Ms.Bozeman, If your not going to speak, i will assume this is a refusal" and hung up on me.

They called and left a message saying that she needed more information about an electronic withdrawal from my account and needed to verify some information for security purposes.  I have not authorized ANYONE to withdraw anything from my account.
