- M replies to AnonymousI think someone in HP is selling people's details. They started calling me immediately I bought and registered a new HP desktop.
They called 3 times todays and I called the person a fraudster and idiot. He quickly hung up. - S replies to MaryThis is a scam where they claim there is a message that there is a problem with your computer. If you give them permission to "fix" it via remote access they will lock you out of your computer unless you pay money.
- S.This is a scam claiming to be HP. Trying to get access to computer via remote. Then they take control and lock you out unless you pay money.
- Caller: Claim to be computer co
- Leyla replies to Mary| 1 replyThis number has been calling every day for weeks. It is a Hewlett Packer number offering to service and HP. I have no HP and have told them so. They continue to call anyway. My spouse is a Police Detective. We have reported them to the Fraud Division/FBI.
- Ann replies to LeylaSame scam tried on me two months ago and again the last two days. After telling 'michael and Jack' Smith several more times to leave me alone,
I told him I was going to sue the "sh--" out of him. He said Bull-sh- you are a [***]. - ElizaThese people have been calling me several times a week for the past month or so. The caller ID always says 844-814-1800, and the person always says they are calling from HP tech support and I have a virus but they can fix it. They know my name and the model of my computer. I keep telling them to stop calling me, but they ignore my request.
- Caller: Says he is from Hewlett Packard
- JpThey have called 3 times today. Good to read these other post and know that they are a scam. Wish the FCC would do something about it. If we can track a fly in the Sahara Desert why can't we catch these guys?
- Caller: Dont know
- Steve WIlliamsSame as most of the other posters. I have received multiple calls over the last 2 months. They knew my name and computer model also. They are not always HP Tech Support, a couple of times they said they were Microsoft Tech Support. THIS IS A RANSOMEWARE SCAM. Do not go for it!!!!
- Caller: Supposedly HP TECH SUPPORT
- DorothyThe caller is persistent, and calls everyday saying that I have a virus on my computer, and he needs to work on it.
I told him that nothing is wrong with my computer, and that the real hp works with me when ever I have a problem with my
computer when I call them , they never call me, and he refuse to stop.- Caller: hp
- Call type: Prank
- Steven in FLThey have called me daily for over a week, with as many as six calls a day. I did not answer the phone since it is a phone number I do not recognize. After reading the comments here I now know to block the number. I do not have an HP computer, by the way.
- Caller: 800 service
- LynnMan saying he was from HP and said my computer was sending pings and had I removed any Microsoft or HP programs. Said his name was Sam and gave me a number to call back with an extension when I would not let him access my computer. I got "HP fraudulent caller alert - protect yourself from scams Learn what to do if you are contacted by fraudulent callers posing as HP representatives,This could be a scam; do not provide any personal information." when I went to HP support so I figure "SCAM" He has called back 2 times but I blocked his number
- Caller: Sam from HP
- Tammy SperlingThey are from technical support. I'm not using a computer.
- Caller: Technical support
- Carrie| 1 replyHas called me several times and I finally let my husband answer. When my husband made claims to Derek Wilson with a heavy Indian accent that it was a scam he told my husband that he was calling so he could f*** me in the a**. They are horrible and I have tried everything to get them to quit calling.

- Annoyed in AustinGot another call from this number today. You'd think that the government or phone companies could have put a stop to these calls by now.
- Caller: Toll Free Call on CID
- Mike H100% Scam number. I had it confirmed by REAL HP support just now.
- Caller: "HP" (not really)
- MGet a call from these scammers once or twice a week. I now have fun with it. They tell me to turn on my computer in order to access certain files. I take about ten minutes pretending to get to my computer/have problems starting, ect. I then pretend to follow their steps (which would lead me vulnerable to hacking) and after I pretend to have followed their last step I say something like 'Oh my god! This is so weird! A video is starting!' They are always confused, and I tell them 'Yes, it appears to be a video of (the caller's fake name) and (the caller's father) having...relations.
The best part is last time this happened it seems there were two or three other scammers listening in (for fraud training?!?!) and they immediately burst out in raucous laughter and were making fun of the guy calling me.
This is 100% a scam, but have fun with it and waste their time (if youre not busy) and embarrass them!- Caller: Cons claiming to be HP
- kmacThey call me DAILY 5-6 times a day and when I tell them to stop calling they curse me out. They don't speak very good English but they know every curse word in the book.
