Said they were a debt collector!

Mine also said they were a debt collector.

I am sick and tired of getting calls from this debt collector.  They are calling for someone named David, which there is no one and I keep telling them I have had this number for over 5 yrs, yet they won't stop calling.  I am on the Do Not Call List and this is considered harrassment!!!

My mother, whom I do not live with, just got a phone call from this number.  Does anyone know who this company is?  When I called, I kept getting the message that the call could not be completed as dialed, no matter how I dialed it.

Just got a call from this number yesterday 1-19-15. Said the were "ELS-CCA, a debt collector".

As I came home from my Military Training, i received a letter from "EOS CCA" and they are claiming i owe them almost 3k. I did freaked out so I called my Phone Company which they are claiming that I have debt to. The Phone Company claimed that I never had any outstanding balance nor did have any history of such debts with them.

Beware, this is a scam! I also checked their Contact Info from their website and it is different from what was on the letter. One way or another you have been a victim of Identity Theft. So a good suggestion is to always monitor your Credit through the Credit Bureaus. Please be suspicious and refrain from calling these such agencies cause they will try to get information from you.

EOS-CCA has a bad reputation on these pages.  Following is everything you need to know.  Send them a debt validation letter by certified, return receipt US mail within 30 days of receipt of that letter.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.
