Missed call from 850-433-1850. Looked online to see what the number was and saw its a credit card scam

I got a call from this number without voice message. I called it back. It said, "can't not complete this international call".

Repeatedly keep getting these calls to lower my interest rate.  I know they are scams so I would just hang up.  But after about the 5th time, I listened to the whole message.  At the end it says press 2 to be removed.  So much for that...got 2 more calls this week.  So much for the Do Not Call registry!!!

Rec'd call from 850.433.1850 a few minutes ago, did not pick up, called back and said number was disconnected.

Caller ID showed a call from them.  Checked and its a land line in Pensacola, FL.  I dialed the number back and recording says "disconnected or no longer in service."  Obviously trying to hide themselves.  Reminder again:  DO NOT give social or credit card info to anyone when you didn't initiate the call and know you are talking to a reputable company.  Shame on these people!

I did the exact same thing.  They called to give me a lower interest rate on my CC, and said I needed a MC/V/AMEX with at least $4K debt.  I played along.  The funniest part is that I don't even have a credit card.  Not one, and I never have.  How did they get my phone number?  I asked her what information she had about me and she said she had my name and phone number in front of her.  I asked her my name and sure enough, she was right, and obviously she had my phone number right.  I said, "You said I can use my Master Card or Visa?" and she said yes.  My next question was, "But aren't those seperate companies?" She gave me some BS "reason" as to how they got my info.  They said that Visa gave out my information.  Visa doesn't do that.  

Anyway, I told her that that was impossible because I don't even have a credit card.  She started blubbering out, "Oh, you're not in trouble!  You're not in trouble."  I said, "you're exactly right - YOU'RE in trouble."  Anyway, hopefully people will see this and not give their info out.  PEOPLE BEWARE!

Just got the same message here.  It has to be about the 10th time I receive it!  Please do not give away information over the phone to someone who calls you!!

I too received a call from 850-433-1850, since I didn't recogniz the number I immediately entered the phone number on this web site and saw that it was a marketing call.  I always have this site on my favorites on my office computer and enter numbers I don't know. Another save from 800notes.com!

Received a call from this number, and called it back...It was a number that was not in service.

This is of course a telemarketer call.  Do not give any information to them.  Instead ask them for information.  The company name given to me was "Financial Services" and the caller was "Tanya".

I am on the National Do Not Call Registry list run by our government.  I have now reported this number and company as a violator.  I recommened everyone to get on this list:  https://donotcall.gov/

Been getting a lot of calls from them, but I don't pick up the phone for numbers I don't recoginize. Did the call back as well (same thing as others, phone was disconnected.)

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that do not call registry only works when people follows the rules. A company like this, that can input every number in the U.S. in their system and dial at random until someone answsers won't, of course, ever look at a do not call registry.

Just got the call and tried to speak to them to let them know I didn't appreciate the cold calls.  This was about the 6th or 7th time they called me and I am on the do not call list.  As soon as I interrupted her and started to tell them not to call she hung up.  SO I went googling and found this site.

Called on my cell phone last night. When I answered I got a recording that they had an urgent message regarding my credit card account. I thought to myself that this was interesting since I am retired on Social Security and I have not had a credit card in over 10 years, just my Visa Debit Card. I just hung up.

I got a call from this number too. They didn't leave a message (I screen all calls)but I was trying to figure out who they are. Now I'm glad I don't answer calls.

Called me at 1:40PM Central.  Recording said something about a cruise or something.  Press 9 for more info.  Press 8 to be removed from the call list.  I pressed 8, although I almost pressed 9 to find out who was calling.  Recording said I would be removed from the call list.  I immediately went to donotcall.gov to make sure my ATT mobile number was still registered.  Yes, it was.  Then I called the number back.  Disconnected or no longer in service.

I just received a call from this number (850-433-1850).  It was a recording saying "Congratulations, you have won a free cruise to the Caribbean."  That's when I hung up.  I am also on the Do Not Call List and have been for a long time.  I've updated it too, to include my cell phone, but it doesn't seem to work all the time.

Got a phone call from 850-433-1850. Left a message and said her name is Heather and she could help lower our credit card intrest rate. My husband and I haven't had a credit card in over a year. This would be the second they have called and got 2 different numbers on my caller-id. I answered the first one over a month ago and told them not to call me anymore or I would report them to the do-not-call list. I been on the list since it began. And had to register both of our cell numbers this year because of all these stupid calls. They were calling 3 or 4 times a day and it would be the same voice, same name, and different number. If you are on the do-not-call list I suggest that you report this number right away. The more times this number is reported the quicker the qovernment will do something about it.
