Just got a call from this number found who they are. They are a third party company owned by Drive Financial, a company managed by Wells Fargo. My mom and I have a car through them (Drive Financial) and they call for them and three other companies to lower your interest. Be aware, be aware. I do not trust them. Make sure that when you buy a car or anything like that you fill out an opt out form. The guy did not our account # for the car but I do not verify it and I asked him to remove our number.

Called my cell - I didn't answer since I didn't know the number.  Left a recording message about how my opportunity was going to end soon.  Called back and got the 'disconnected' message.

If they call again, I'll answer....and see how much of their time I can waste before they get aggravated.  Maybe if they know I'm going to annoy them more than they annoy me, they'll stop calling me all on their own!  ;-)

I did, however, also report them to the DNC Registry.

Same message as other bloggers about lowering interest rates. When I ask who is calling since number is on National Do Not Call, they hang up.  THIS IS CLEARLY A SCAM!!!   BEWARE!!!!  

Take action -- send a complaint to your State's Attorney General Office -- forms are available on line or sometimes they will let you submit online.  The Attorney General's office in each state is responsible to investigate and take steps to protect it's citizens!!!   I am submitting a form to our AG, along with copies of posts of about this number so that they realize it is more than just me that is impacted.  Thanks for posting -- hopefully this will help others become educated on how to fight fraudulent and deceptive practices such as this.

These idiots called me too but I didn't answer.  We have a celebrity voice on our voicemail and they always hang up when they hear it or if they are stupid enough they will leave a message thinking they have reached a true celebrity! If your local phone company offers it, you can immediately report this as a harrassing number by just pressing a few numbers and also you can block this number if they also offer this service.  We have been getting calls from this number repeatedly so I just reported it to our carrier which is Verizon.

Didn't answer, no message.

same as others here. I think I got a call last week from them.  Just got another today. Showed as a missed call on my cell.
No message was left.

Received YET AGAIN a phone call from this number and with the same pre-recorded script about lowering our card interest rate.  NOBODY in the home even has a credit card and hasn't for quite some time.  We've attempted to press 2(or 9, the recording says sometimes) to be removed from the list.  We've attempted to speak with a representative, and actually gotten through a couple times, but usually we're disconnected.  When actually getting through to an "agent," they hang up on us immediately after we request that our number be removed, or when we start to say that we keep receiving calls even after opting out by pressing the appropriate number.  Today, I asked the "agent" if I could speak with a supervisor and was disconnected.  Truly EVIL people, here.  Violating the TCPA left and right - and someone somewhere is losing everything they own to this scam.  Don't fall for it!

Must be my lucky day.  Got this call again, only minutes after another junk call.  My new practice is to just hit my speaker phone button, say nothing and keep typing until the caller hangs up.  If they are going to waste my time, I'm going to waste theirs as well.

I just a call from 850-433-1850. The message said that I was eligible to have my interest rate lowered on my credit card, that I was not in any trouble and to press one to speak to a live rep. I pressed one, prepared to cuss them out, but I got disconnected. I then Googled the number and came upon this website. I just tried to call it back and it is disconnected or no longer in service.

Got a call from these guys about 10 min ago. Vehicle warranty about to expire (our newest car is 14 years old :-). Reported the call at donotcall.gov.

The *site* itself doesn't ask for personal information. Rather, they provide a "Sample Opt-Out Letter (Send to addresses listed above.)". You are supposed to print out the sample, fill it in with your information, and then mail the letter to the addresses provided. The addresses to which you are to send the letter happen to be the addresses of the credit reporting bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. The addresses can be double- and triple-checked on the web and, I assume, through government offices you can telephone.

The offers you are opting-out of include pre-screened credit card offers. Unless you request otherwise, third parties can invade your privacy and make unsolicited credit inquiries about you with Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. This allows them to make insurance and credit card offers to you via mail.

Nounie, you are correct. Regardless of anyone else's suggestions, you are always right to play it safe when providing personal information. If something doesn't feel right, don't do it.

Just got a call from them offering to lower my interest rate.  I pushed one and he said something about a type of card I don't have, and  said they had the wrong number and hung up.  Searched and came up with this site, which has confirmed my suspicions.

I saw it, that was good! it shows what a scam they are!
asking so many questions is red flag #1 its a scam,
if they have to ask they don't need to know!

I also got a call from this number today and a week ago about lowering my interest rate to 6.9%.  When I asked if there was a number I could call him back on as I didn't have time at that moment to talk, he hung up on me.  Even better is I received a call with a similar message and when I called the number back, I wasn't able to as my cell phone doesn't have the service to make international calls. Careful these aren't Americans calling us!

These crooks phoned me a couple of hours ago.  Same recorded message about a great interest rate for my credit cards.  I hung up.  I guess they are doing a blitz today.

Some scam offering an extended car warranty!!  I'm on the DoNotCall list, but these scammers do bother to obey federal law!

Just saw caller ID with this number. Wondering who it was. Thanks for the info. Wondering why they are calling even though we are on no-call list.
