I received a phone call from this number a few minutes ago.  I didn't answer but waited to see if they would leave a message as they have telephoned three times so far today!!  I hit "return call" and heard "Your international call cannot be completed as dialed."  

An international call?  It has (+)before 850.  Be careful!!

I got the call today as well around noon my time about a credit card rate.  I don't have ANY cards, but I just got this number, so I held to tell them to take the number off the list (thinking maybe it was an offer to the old number holder) and they left me too long, so I hung up.

Got a call from said number so i decided to answer... they hung up. Weird.

Scam!!
I got a call from the same number. Said they were with "Card Services" and wanted to let me know that I am eligible for a lower rate. I Hung up, but I bet the next question would of been. What is your SS# or verify your CC#.

Never give anyone your info!!
If these people spent half the time doing something productive instead of trying rip everyone off, think how wonderful the world would be.  :P

My call was similar to others listed on this site. They offered to lower my interest to as low as 6.9 and I needed to press 1.  That's when I hung up because I believed it to be a scam.  I found this page when I tried to look the number up.

If you have the service on your phone call Selective Call Rejection I'd include their number.

I just got a call from the same number and the recording said they have been trying to reach me by mail but have been unsuccessful. When transfered the man on the other end asked for the year, make and model of my car ... but he was calling me about my car ... wouldn't he know?

I asked what company he was from and he hung up.

Recorded message from (850)433-1850 in Pensacola, Florida saying they wanted to extend a warranty on something we did not own. I hung up after I didn't recognize the product. What some losers will do to try and earn a buck.

This person offered to lower my interest rates.  I told him I didn't have any credit cards and he hung up.

Got a recorded message that my car warranty was going to expire. Ha! I just bought a car 3 weeks ago. I haven't even hit 1000 miles yet!

Received a (missed) call on my cell phone from number +8504331850. I initiated a call back using my cell phone and received a message that the 'international call' could not be completed as dialed.  I received a call from what I believe to be the same number earlier today and it was identified as 'anonymous' & 'restricted' on my cell phone.  It was a recorded message indicating my car warranty was expired, but I could still renew.  I hung up before being connected to a person to discuss the auto-dialed call.  Smells like a scam all right.

FRAUD ALERT

Read the previous posts, they try to get your Info buy saying they are a car warranty company, a credit card company (can't tell you which one), or that you won a vacation.

Great information.  I thought it was sketchy when I couldn't call them back yesterday.  Now I'm just worried they will keep pestering me.  I'll have to see about insuring I do not answer this number in the future.  No reason for me to pay for it on my cell.

called again at 8:45 last night, "car warranty about to expire" (this time) we are always getting calls from them. Doesn't help to report them but I keep on anyway.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT - there is an ad just above 800Notes area where you enter the phone number to report(shaded blue) that reads: "Block your caller ID" "Display Any# on Your Caller ID. It's Totally Legal, Private and Fun"! Since we are a most irate group here I don't think they'll get many takers.

I get this call about every 2 weeks on the recorder.  Tried to call the 850-4331850# back with my # blocked and said it was not a working #.  The recording offered to lower my interest rates but did not identify which bank/card company authorized the call.

I found this number on my caller ID on May 14th at 5:44pm... don't recall a message. I've been getting allot of calls from (850), (888), (000). Today my parents, who live in another state, received a call requesting they have me or my attorney call 888.211.1330 and ask for "Daniel Vishnevetsky" regarding an urgent matter. The person knew they were my parents, but my parents didn't feel good about the call from the beginnig and gave no info out. That call inspired me to check other numbers as well.


"Area Code Phone Scams":
Consumers usually receive a message requesting them to call a phone number with an 809, 284 or 876 area code concerning an important matter.  The caller assumes the number is a typical three-digit U.S. area code; however, the caller is actually connected to a phone number outside the United States, and charged international call rates.

"900 Number Switching Scams":
We all feel safe calling "toll free" 1-800 or 888 numbers, while knowing stay away from 1-900 numbers.  However, there exists an illegal scam that merges the two. An advertisement will claim an incredible offer. After placing the 1-800 call, an automated greeting asks that they press #9 to verify their number.  By pressing #9 (in some reported cases, #90), that call has just been transferred to a 900 number and through a long series of questions, the caller is kept on the line for as long as possible.
