    I just got the same guy calling and threatening to come to my house or employer's to issue a summons.  Told me to call 855-393-3793 for more info.  Some dude name Timothy Ormond answered when I called back, but it sounded like the Jonathan Stewart that left the message.

    This is the third phone call I have had from 855-393-3793 in the last week. Every time it says they are going to be serving a summons within 24-48 hours and we are to make ourselves available with two forms of ID and if we are at work then a supervisor or head of security will have to sign as a witness. This is getting really old! Happened last year as well and so called local law enforcement and they came to the house to take a statement and said since I didn't give them any information or money I wast scammed and there was nothin they could do.

    The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

    •is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
    •refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
    •asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
    •exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

    If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

    •Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
    If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.•Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
    •Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
    •Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
    •Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

    After they called me using the same above scare tactics I did my research. Then called them back and read them the laws on Credit Collections in my state, and the laws they were violating. After trying to scream and speak over me they hung up, and I haven't heard from them since!

    They are not real, look up the laws on credit Collections in your state and I assure you they are violating at least 2. They cannot threaten to show up at your home or work. You can file a lawsuit against them for harassment. Tell them you'll do that and you'll never hear from them again.

    I just had a message from Olivia Weston, second call.  First call was a couple weeks ago.  Today she told me that if she could serve me that I would have a failure to appear in court and a warrant would be issued for my arrest.  I have worked in he court system for years, the only way you can have a failure to appear is if you have actually been served.  Last month I did call the number, I requested information about the debt and was told that I was not entitled to that info!  My in law is a bankruptcy atty so I know that isn't true.  Scammers, bottom feed edgers!

    not going to do this!
    recieved a third message from Olivia westin claiming that since she has not been able to serve me that she will have a warrant issued for my arrest for a failure to appear. Interestingly she never states whom she is leaving the message for.  If I am not given a summonds they can not claim a failure to appear since I was not legally notified of the obligation.  She calls and her number is 0000000 on caller ID.  I attempted to google the Legal Care Services she said she worked for and was unable to come up with such a business.  I noticed that all of the callers on this board (and other) claim she is calling hte,  I live in a very small town in the Pacific NOrthwest and these posts are from all over the country!  thus the name used is untrue since she cant be everywhere at once.  Swanson, Walker and Associates have a BBB of F due to these types of practices.  I did call the number she gave, and spoke to a man who demanded that I give him my SS, bank account number and name. I told him no, and asked him for proof of debt.  He just kept demanding the above information.  He called me a bunch of names, to which I hung up.

    Got a call both at home and on my cell Thursday afternoon from Isabella Wilson asking me to return call sounding similar to MTownsend. I returned the call and spoke to Tim. They also had my SSN. Referred to a Mastercard debt that I have already paid but now wondering if that was a scam also. Wanted proof faxed to them. After reading all these comments I am not sending anything. Fax was 716-299-6794.

    How can I make this all stop?
