I figured it out. They badgered me and I finally let them set up an appointment which I am oing to cancel.
They can file a claim with Medicare and get paid for the visit and they want the money. When we say no, they get no money so they push harder.

Fed up,  I agree with you 100 percent on all that you have said concerning the insurance companies and this new thing of having a so called health care group monitor your existance.  Insurance companies are indeed pofit organizations.
However,  I think that the point that the previous poster was making is that the 3rd party contracted health monitoring organization falls under the category of informational when they call. This does make them legit under the Do Not Call Registry. I don't know what problems it would cause with your insurance company but you do have the right to tell them to cease calling you.
I have the same situation. My insurance provider says that there is no option under their program if I want to be on their plans. Like everything else in America,  our options are slowly being taken away while we sleep.

I agree with you -- I have received many letters followed by phone calls and have responded each and every time to advise them that my doctors are very communicative and communicate with each other.  I am in very good hands and if Blue Cross doesn't have a handle on my health issues then they are a bunch of idiots, after all, they have to approve every single damned thing before I can go forward, they know exactly who I see and when I see them and what it's for.  This "free service" is being paid for in some way and we all know for certain that it's buried in our premiums.  No way does anyone need any more info about me than they already have.  Also, if the way they handle my "DO NOT CALL HERE AGAIN" request is the way they would handle my confidential medical info that I guess they cannot get from my doctors (bless their hearts)  I wouldn't trust them any more than I do Obama or the IRS!!!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Matric(sp) Medical network and they were calling me for Humana.  They claimed that they were setting up a system to have medical practicioners(sp) call on their customers to do a health assessment.  This was the number they gave if I wanted to call  855-3403-0967.

I must disagree somewhat with "anonymous. There is a pilot campaign several health insurance providers have bought into regarding nurse practitioners and/or doctors coming to your home and it's a part of the Affordable Healthcare Act. It is primarily for comorbid patients and is supposedly to cut down on trips to ER and such.

There are several problems with this concept. One being that it provides to the government with the geographical location of the frail and afflicted elderly. Another is that after the initial house call, they follow up with regular house calls, telephone monitoring and "assess the member's health, look into the pantry and refrigerator to check on diets....." SERIOUSLY?? I'm not making this up. This is not for your benefit. Check it out by doing a search for "Eyes On Medicare Program's House Calls For Comorbid Patients". This info is all there. This is just more of Obama's putting his nose where it doesn't belong.

    Misses Privacy
Until CMS mandates that we speak with Medicare/gap/advantage Plan providers, I see no reason to communicate with them. I switched providers for 2014 and will block their calls after I've received the very first one. AARP UHC had this half dead robot voice calling our home regularly ... a truly creepy computerized voice trying to elicit information about my health. Almost hilarious, if not so utterly annoying and intrusive.

This is a legitimate company calling on behalf of your HEALTH plans. They are contracted/partnered with your health care provided to offer you a service as part of your preventive care. This is not a sales call, nor designed to upset the caller in anyway. The purpose of the call is to schedule your once a year health assessment which is performed by a licensed Nurse Practitioner in your state. Matrix Medical Network can be reached at 855-403-0967 Monday-Friday from 8am-11pm EST where a representative can confirm that this is not a sales call or telemarketing either. This is a courtesy call more than anything to let you know that YOUR health care provided ENCOURAGES you to take advantage of this FREE service and the person calling is there to help you schedule the appointment. There is no need to panic. You can call the number or you can visit their website at http://www.matrixhealth.net/ you can also call your health care provider at confirm this as well. This is a GREAT way to stay healthy ladies/gents. I would love to have preventitive care with my plan! THEY ARE HERE TO HELP YOUR HEALTH PLANS SET UP THE HOME HEALTH ASSESSMENTS ONCE PER CALANDAR YEAR UNDER YOUR PREVENTATIVE CARE PORTION OF YOUR MEDICARE INSURANCE. YOUR HEALTH PLAN ASKS MATRIX TO CALL YOU FOR THEM, THIS IS NOT A SCAM, MY FAMILY HAS PARTICIPATED IN THIS AND THEY LOVE IT.

Seriously? Why would anyone be willing to give up their goods in order for the medical corporations to set limits on your HealthCare.  They can report what "THEY" see fit for your needs, not what you see fit or expect. You're Health is YOUR BUSINESS, keep it your own.  I'm just saying with all the shite going on today with Healthcare Rates etc. . . Don't give your control to ANYONE else.  Just my opinion.  We've already lost many of our Birthright laws and rights only WE THE PEOPLE can stop this NSA mindset.  In have an Insurance Company that wants in, not going to happen.  For what I pay a month, I have control.

you should go to matrixforme.com and do a study before calling the cops! Your health plan hired Matrix to work with them to complete Home Health Assessments once per year as part of the benefits you already receive with your plan. You may learn more by doing research

Also continue to receive this call on the home phone but have now switched up and called my cell.  My work involves calls from around the country so a little more difficult to screen when just the number comes up and I inadvertently answered.  I was questioned by a man who said the call was going to be recorded and asked about the weather in GA and how it was going to change shortly, just small talk for 30 seconds.  Then identified himself as a representative of Blue Cross Blue Shield and that "at no charge" a nurse practitioner would contact me to "help" me along in my health issues.  She would monitor food, health and also activity such as gyms to "help me to maintain my way of life".  I told him that I see a Dr regularly and that I wasn't interested.  He then gave the number to call if I ever changed my mind.  I had to ask him to repeat it so I could write it down and that sort of took him off guard but it is the same number that above comments have given - 855-403-0967.

Received this phone call representing Aetna Medicare Advantage,  wanting to send someone to our home to do an annual
report about our health, to tell us how to keep us healthy.  I took her name Christina and phone number telling her I would return her call  855-403-0967 if we decide to set up an appoint.  I told  her we don't like strangers coming to our home, and since I am a suspicious  individual I decided to research the phone number on the internet.

I am glad I reviewed this site and read the comments.  I am now going to report this to Aetna. Obviously, this is a scam and want Aetna to know this telemarketing is using their company name and their data base to access my phone number.

My medicare insur provider offered an in-home "interview" by a doctor. I've repeatedly declined snail-mailed requests. These toll free calls began. Any unknown # is left for voice mail. However, this group won't leave a message on voice mail. Why would a person voluntarily provide an insur provider with info capable of raising rates? Perhaps very lonely people would enjoy a visit. I hope that they continue to resist as the last time an insur company reached out to help its customers was in 1905 and that was a chicago ruse. If you think you should review your lifestyle and health, see your doctor! There's a degree of privacy there, not with an insurance company hired doctor. By the way, what kind of doctor works as a survey taker? Meaning, is it a good sign if survey taking is the best job a licensed doctor can find?

They call from time to time...nothing on the caller ID -- "UNAVAILABLE" -- no message. Pests. If they really are named "Matrix"  I would say that is appropriate!  And I would say a good reason to ignore/avoid.  I am sick and tired of the nannies everywhere, leave us alone.

A man called me yesterday--I only picked up because I was waiting for Time Warner to come and replace my box. He gave me his name and said he was from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (I have their Senior Advantage Plan). I am sorry to say I was rude and hung up on him (the TWC guy pulled in the driveway). I, too, have gotten calls from "matrix" and have told them I am not interested (I don't like strangers coming to my home), I think this is another ploy to try to get me to kick in to one of their "free assessments" which I feel will cost me more money when they "find" I need one specialist or another. A load of baloney!!!
