I got a call on Friday night, the rep with a heavy accent read his script slowly, that Rogers' offering something so I could save up to 60% on my TV and home phone bills. Then he asked for my address and date of birth for SECURITY PURPOSE, I refused, he said he can't proceed without these info. I asked to call them back, he said I wouldn't get this offer by calling in, and many other people had no problems to give personal info over the phone to cold callers, I said I never did that (I work at a credit crad company). Finally, he was upset and hung up after trying back and forth for 20 minutes on this issue.
Guys, never ever give your personal info over the phone even the caller claims he's calling from your bank, credit card company, etc..

I just went thru the DNC website for what is exempt or not - if someone requests to be put on the DNC list of a company they do business with, and it is a certain "division", another division is still allowed to call from the same company.  (ie. If you have wireless services, and on the DNC list, the "internet division" can still call and solicit, unless you request that they TOO add you to the DNC list).  It is a pain, but you can eventually get all "divisions" to cease calling you from that company.

This number called me but when i answered i could only hear someone breathing on the other line, then they hung up....weird!

This number keeps calling my phone as well, but I refuse to answer 1800 numbers. They never leave a message.

And after all this, no one thought to call them back?  I got a call from 'em too.  On my vacation, even.  'twas Rogers affiliates calling me.  I called back just a few minutes ago, and there is no getting IN to talk, they only call you.

Don't let it bother you.  If they start to bother you, just ask them what they're wearing.  Ask them where they live, what their favourite colour is, etc.  Eventually, they WILL stop calling you.  Hell, I asked the one girl if I could buy her a drink sometime.  That was the last time they called lol.

Are you sure about that? (DNC doesn't apply). This is an outside marketing company trying to recruit for Rogers, not dealing with Rogers specifically. ie. You can't call Rogers and tell them to stop bugging you with these phone calls as they are not connected to the home company.

It's not Rogers so they can't help. You can report to police, but in all likelihood, they aren't located in Canada and so there is nothing anyone can do. The issue is that their automatic dialer is likely calling you and there isn't an agent available to connect the phone call (hence all the blank phone calls). If you do connect, threaten legal action. If they say from Rogers, tell them you have already confirmed that they are not and that you have been informed by Rogers that this is a scam. If they don't stop, you will be forced to get legal representation as well as report this to the police.

It's not Rogers. They are scammers. Haters gotta hate (I'm right there with you on Rogers) but this really isn't there fault.

It's NOT Rogers. It's a scam.

It's not. They are marketing scammers using Rogers. Call Rogers and they will confirm this. Ask the telemarketer for his Rogers ID# - he won't be able to provide it.

Keep getting called by this number. I called back and said it was Rogers marketing service. I also tried calling that number to get off their "Do Not Call" list and nothing happened - no ring tone, no answer, no messaging service.

repeated calls from this number as well... once a day for the past week. Never leaves a message either.

I called them directly @ 416-745-1333, randomly dialed extensions until I found somebody, and a surprised individual agreed to remove me from their calling list today.

1-855-465-4015 has been calling me repeatedly for several weeks.  Today I picked up and said "hello".  Whoever it was grunted and hung up.

Finally answered as they wouldnt stop calling.

person on other end- "Hi, this is #### from Zed Solutions on behalf of Rogers.  May I speak with #####""
me- "yes, that is me, what would you like"
her- pause for about 10 seconds ... "uh....uh... would you..... uuuhhhhh.... are you still looking for that home phone?"

me - "uuuuhhh.. ummmm.... uuuuhhh.. LEARN TO SPEAK!"

she hung up.

I keep getting a call from this number daily (up to 3 or 4 times per day at varying times).  It is so annoying!!!

Been calling me since I switched from Blackberry to iPhone. I am also with Rogers. Seems we are all on a list. Perhaps the list was leaked (sold) by Rogers.

just got the call as well.  didn't pick it up but now im thining i should have.  i haven't torn a strip off a telemarketer in months.   ohhh the next time... i HOPE they stay on, thy gloves will come off :)

I have been receiving calls from this number continually, I finally answered and someone yelled [***] into the phone. AWESOME!
