I just received a call from this number.  The women identified herself as being from TD Visa and conducted a short "how was your customer service experience" type of interview.  I don't believe I gave away any critical information.  Something in the conversation caused me to try to clarify the source of the phone call, though I can't say exactly what.

I just received the call but didnt know who it was but i claimed that i was someone else,  And i asked if they wanted to leave a message and they said no they will just call back later. I figured that was odd so i searched the number and got this, maybe ill try to survey them when they call back...

Just received a call from this number for the first time.

I am a TD Canada Trust customer so I'm not surprised to receive this call - just disappointed they don't leave a message and I have to waste 20 minutes of my time to research the number.

The call originates with Corsential ULC - market research firm with head office in Toronto ON.  It is not a scam - it is a legitimate market research organization.  Here is their contact information:

    Corsential ULC - Head Office
1220 Sheppard Ave. East, Suite 201
    Toronto, Ontario
    M2K 2S5

    Tel. (416) 493-6111 or 1-800-461-3924
    Fax (416) 493-0176
    E-mail: info@corsential.com

Their website at www.corsential.com shows TD Bank as one of their clients.  Under the National Do Not Call registry, market research firms are permitted to contact customers who have an established business relationship in the past 6 months.

As a TD Bank customer, I welcome the opportunity to share feedback about the service I have received from them - so I will just add this number to my contacts so I recognize it the next time they call.

I opened an account with TD Bank yesterday, and got a call from this number today, so it looks like a TD bank customer service thing, although they might be a company that does customer service calls for other banks and companies as well.

Got 5 calls from them in a 4 hour period tonight.  Was near the phone for the 5th called answered, asked why they called so many times and left no message.  The man stated in a thick accent, he was doing a customer survey for TD bank.  Told him not interested and to never call me again.  Then proceeded to contact the bank and file a complaint about the calls.

Why don't you people just answer instead of spending so much time on here scared.  By the way, a phone during the day is not harassment.

If this is indeed TD Canada Trust, then they have farmed out their client service survey work to 3rd parties.  These 3rd parties then hide their outbound caller ID name and that is where the reputation of TD gets tarnished, if they are acting on the up-and up then do not hide the caller ID details.  So why hide the caller ID detail?

Does this make ANYONE comfortable to deal with the TD Bank?

These people call and identify themselves as being from TD Bank and they're doing a survey.  But when I try to get additional information from them they hang up.  Now, if TD has indeed hired these people then TD ought to fire them for PISSING OFF a really good customer.

You're right on all accounts, however, there's no need to call people idiots.  Such strong and unnecessary language not only makes you come across like the "idiot", but it clearly demonstrates you have a tiny reproductive organ and suffer from resulting insecurities on a massive scale.

I believe that was what 'read it again' was saying. That if you call an 855 number,  the owner of the 855 number picks up the tab.   If the 855 number calls you,  it does not cost you anything  to answer & talk.
Then when I read your post,  you are saying the same thing,,,,just with differently.

I don't understand why people are so quick to call others "idiots" over any simple misunderstanding.
one comment, correct or incorrect,  does not mean that someone is an idiot  nor does it justify calling someone, that you don't even know,  an idiot.     Just a thought on how our society acts anymore....

ha ha ha,  oh my,  hehehe   lol lol.....and what would you expect anyone on this board can do about this?
This board is only an information board for people to exchange information.   It doesn't  bring vandals to justice.  Do something about your own harassment calls.  Call your phone company or get a call blocker..

Numbers that are toll-free when you call them are known as "INWATS" numbers. INWATS stands for incomng wide area telephone service, I think.

Who is TD Bank? We are in TX and do not have any TD Banks in TX. Why are they dialing our number? No one here has a TD Bank account.
