My husband got a call from this #. It was a survey on by TD Canada Trust. My husband had called on the weekend to get insurance quotes with them. They called to conduct a survey about ths agent he zpoke too. They did not ask for any personal information besides confirming his name.

The number 855-496-4285 belongs to Core Central a telemarketing outfit conducting  surveys! At least that's what they're voice mail says, when I called it back via Gmail on my computer.

I recently became a Td bank client. I started getting calls from 1866 837-3752 last month daily and have now increased to about 6 times a day. I went to my branch and got them to check out the phone number and they said it is not listed on their directory. Advised me to go online and report it under phishing. They don't seem to know about this but it seems to be prevalent, judging by the posts here.  They don't seem concerned either. But I am and am considering closing all my accounts, just to stop these calls.

I got a call from this number saying she was a representative from a TD bank and she knew that I had recently spoke with a representative about opening a new account and she also knew my full name.
She asked me one question. She said did you and the representative talk about opening a "something" (I missed this word) account.. I didn't understand her so I just said no, she said that is all, and hung up. It sounded a lot like she was in a shopping mall, definitely not in an office at all. I wonder if I should be worried or if I should just cancel the account all together? Help!?

I received 2 more hang up calls from these a$$holes. You wanna get even with them, then call 1-800-461-3924 and leave a nasty message in their general mailbox by dialing 0. Maybe all the nasty calls will break their phone lines....

I have just received EIGHT of these calls in the last 24 hours.  I have been in bed with a migraine headache and the last thing I wanted was to be harassed by these people.  I thought that I would check on the internet to see if anyone else had experienced calls from this number and was surprised to come across this site.
I am afraid that they might get a mouthful the next time they call.  Isn't there someone we can call to report them?

Just an update to my previous post from 1/2 hr. ago.  Of course they called for the NINTH time and this time I answered it.  The girl asked me if I was ......stating my full name with my middle initial.  I immediately said that if they called again I would call the police ( not sure if they could do anything, but it was worth a try!)  Her response was "I'll take you off the list" and she hung up.  Will see if this works!!!

I just got a call from these guys, they said that they were conducting informations on behalf of London hydro and just asked it they should be speaking with me. I told them its the landlord that pays for it, so they confirmed my name and telephone number in case the manager wants to call. I didn't release any information - personal, just confirmed what they already have, I will be calling hydro tmr and lettin them know, has anyone else had this issue, should I be worried. Is there any place I should be reporting this

it was in french and spanish and english with an indian (india) accent about core essentials... and it made my interwebs browser open (i don't have a smart phone with the interwebs)... anyway, i wonder if this is one of those blackwater type of shell companies...?

I have gotten calls from this number also. But I thought that the main purpose of this site was to divulge who the number belongs to, and for what purpose, not to start a forum on bashing each other.
This site has been invaluable for finding out what scamming companies are harassing me. The rest I leave up to logic and COMMON SENSE.

They are scam they called me 3 times but i didnt answer ... i investigate about the number and i found that this guys call from different countries .and they ask for the personal information like credit card number and many more..So dont give them any information just hang up.........

i just got a call from that same number and i hung up on them iam also with fido i would like to know how its even possible for any one to get a cell number it was bad enough with a home phone now with a cell .it might time to say piss on it and not have a phone of any kind

It's a research company. They are hired for research purposes by other companies but I wouldn't give a third party any information any way. Corssential is the name of the company.

this number came up on home phone.  Said they were doing a survey on Burlington Hydr.  I refused to take the survey and promptly phoned Burlington Hydro  They knew nothing about this.  They were trying to get customer numbers etc.

Jane, you are so right.  That's why I try not to engage with anybody online anymore.  Many people online are quick to insult others, which to me seems pretty cowardly.  I doubt very much most of these people would go around calling people 'idiots' to their faces over any comments they disagree with.

Since I use Fido, I have received a lot of this kind of phone. I may have to change company after this plan.
