- AmandaThis is from Commenity Bank with my Maurice's Card. I had missed a payment by a week and they were calling to let me know I was a payment behind.
- Caller: Commenity Bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- tayNumber called me at 2:58 pm PST. I have no knowledge who this possibly can be. Will not answer though.
- saI don't answer if I don't recognize the number. This is a scam. They are trying to get personal information.
- Caller: Community Bank
- tay| 1 replyA lady name Sherry from Community Bank calling from reference from Samuel calling for Edward Gosai . How many times do I have to tell this bank They have the wrong number and won't stop bugging me about this individual. Is there a way to tell them to stop calling me. If anyone knows the contact information for this company please tell me.
- Caller: Community Bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- JanI did not recognize the # so I didn't bother to answer -
- Renathis number calls me at least twice a day, i answered a few times and it was a guy with a soft voice who asked for my dad. i told the guy my dad wasn't home or available at the moment. the guy seemed nice. i missed a call from the same number earlier and this time i called it. apparently its community bank and i know that my family is not signed with this company. i think these people are just either scammers or sureveys, i dont even know. but it was some foreign lady speaking when i called. whatever. i blocked the number now and you guys can too, its not hard. if they really need to address a problem with us or if its important enough they should leave us emails or something other than calls.
- Only The Shadow Knows| 2 repliesThey are calling because your store account credit card at Beall's Outlet is overdue. Not a collection agency but the collection's department for the company. I know. I spoke with them, I owed the bill !!! They were congenial --just doing her job folks.
- Caller: ComenityBank For Beall's Outlet Card
- Call type: Debt collector
- Sir Bedevere replies to Only The Shadow Knows| 1 replyThere a suspicious number of shills popping up in this thread. Smells of a scam.
- Badge714 replies to Sir BedevereNotice that it's always the same pattern. People who post a comment when they (claim to) know who the number belongs to. Of course, if you know who it is, why did you search it, & why are you here? Just too obvious.
- KeriJust returned a call to Helen at 855--497-8174, she was looking for Karen Olsen, which is NOT me. I spoke with Helen and told her this has been MY number for many years, nobody named Karen is at MY number, she said she would remove my number and apologized for bothering me. Seemed nice enough...Hopefully I don't get any more calls for "Karen".
- Caller: Community or Commity
- Call type: Debt collector
- AnnoyedI just got a new number, these people have been calling me relentlessly for a month, around 8am & 5pm, sometimes before 8, which last I checked, was illegal.
I finally got annoyed enough to call them back today, telling them I just had my number changed and that their bombardment of calls is ridiculous.
The woman asked for the number I was calling from, which I gave to her, and then she proceeded to tell me the full name of the person she was looking for, and if I knew them. Is that not breaching the persons privacy?
Either way, she kindly removed my number from the list & apologized, we'll see if they follow through.- Caller: Comenity
- Call type: Debt collector
- AnonIt was a legitimate call. Comenity Bank calling about past due balance on VS credit card. I did not answer as I did not recognize the number, but they did leave me a message. However, I had made my payment in full (albeit late) and it had posted the day before, so clearly they had not updated their records before placing the call. The thing that irritates me is that every time this company calls me, it's from a completely different call center, so I never know who it is.

- Anon replies to tayAnswer the number, tell them you are not Edward and to remove your number from their database completely because you are going to report them to the FCC for harassment. A company kept calling me for some random guy in another state and when I threatened to report them I never got another call - I reported them anyway! Their messages were very threatening.
https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us - Kiwaine11/22/15 @ 2:29p. Some lady, speaking very proper on answering machine, about an account I never heard of. Informing whomever they perceived if they do not call "I will be forced to advise my client to proceed with legal actions". I've never heard of this.....whatever.

- MartyAgain, all very sleezy. The people that do collection for a career? The people that buy on credit and don't pay? What's going on People.
- Patricia L. FanningNo message left. Do not know nature of call.
- Kiwanereceived a call from this number on 11/22/15 @ 2:12p cst. ID says "Toll Free". Wasn't home.

- LisaThis is COMENITY bank, not Community Bank. They are the parent company of many store charge cards (Express, Carson's, JCrew, Abercrombie & Fitch, Victoria's Secret, GameStop, etc etc) and will call repeatedly even if you're barely late on payments. They also call from #s with a 614 and 913 exchange.

One has to wonder why these allegedly “legit” companies need so many phone numbers to call people with.
Seems to be a frequent flyer in these pages with a very bad reputation. Be advised that they are not subject to the FDCPA since they are the creditor. They may however be subject to state laws.

Now for the interesting part.
BBB page with 1,655 complaints, and 216 negative reviews and they still get an A+ rating. What the heck is that all about? http://www.bbb.org/centralohio/business-revie ... olumbus-oh-6558
They must be paying big bucks to the BBB for that. Note, the BBB has suddenly removed all the complaints and ratings for this bunch of criminals. Now that must have cost some real money.
