- Xx replies to duh| 1 replyHere's the same scumbag SHILL using a different sign-on
- Kyle replies to MammyGood Lord, Mammy! Our "SHILL" has taken up preaching to you. You don't have any debt with them and yet they are trying to collect from you??? What does that tell us about these calls. Why is this Shill Keygan hanging around on this board trying to convince everyone that they should bend over? Maybe we can get the "Shill" to chime in on this. The more I read, the more This whole thing is starting to stink like something is rotten in Shillville.
You are handlying this correctly Mammy. You don't have to talk to anyone you don't wish to and with these scammers today, there is no limit as to what they try. Make everyone contact you concerning this, by mail. That way, if truth exists, you will have names, addresses, phone numbers, etc to check out and file complaints against
Hang in there.... - kyle replies to XxThanks Xx. I was just going to say the very same thing. This Guy really is a go getter!!!! I wonder if he talkes potty breaks away from his scam boosting business or just has a pot by the computer.........Go lay down Shill!!!!
- yep replies to dudeThere ya go.....I concur
- gospel replies to ?| 1 replyAmen!!!! And how about all the government waste inside the government. Party!! Party!!! At taxpayer expense! And there are too few footing the bill for the others, many who have never contributed one dime in tax for generations. Look at all the money handed out to the free loaders. Free cell Phones, welfare, and Now Disability Lawyers are using the court system to load up their pockets getting disability for everyone who applies. "Everything that the Government gives free to anyone, must be first taken from others who worked to earn it"
Some deserve it....Too many do not.
And when I think about this government throwing money, that we desperately need to repair our own mess, at all of these Pissy little (and some big) countries, makes me want to use ugly words. - kyleEveryone...Read all of the posts written before doing anything with these people. If you don't have, never had, or have paid off a student loan, and they keep calling you, Report them to FTC. I dont care if they represent God on student loans and have his blessings. No damn collection company has the right of harassment like they are doing. Regardless of what the other people hanging around on this board try to convince you of , you don't owe them anything and you have no obligation to even talk to them. Then tell them to stop calling you...(see if it works as smoothly as the toad on this board says)
If they are legit, then Put it in writing and mail it then you will review and consider it. Don't ever give out anything over the phone to anyone. - jj replies to Keygan| 1 replyPlease state why? And provide the written information and reference locations concerning these laws and practices as it applies to lending institutions.
- bill replies to FelisYou are correct Felis. They are phishing for inormation and trying to get people to take out new loans while offering refinance of existing loans. They are calling too many people who have never had student loans, or may have had but has since been paid them off. Phishing for business. And then there is the guy who is living on this board defending them like it was his mother's virtue. Just drumming up some business and old ace is on the board boosting it.
- bill replies to KeyganOH screw the Fair Debt Collectors Practives??? (Privacy) Act. They have to verify?? And yet they expect the person on the other end to spill their private information to a total stranger over the phone?? If they (you) have an offer or proposal, or anything else...... Put it in an envelope.
- bill replies to do not call listHey Keygan! Do you ever take time out to go eat? Might as well... Your credibility was gone a long time ago.
- jj replies to well callAt what point in time does your company take responsibility for having inaccurate files?
People have to put up with enough constant robo calling from scammers, to have to put up with your company BS. - jj replies to CarolThey are phishing for business. That's why they are robo calling so many people. And why so many who have nothing to do with any loans are getting their calls. They get lucky every now and then, since there are so many student loans out there, the odds are that they will hook one sooner or later.
Don't give them any information about anything. Ask them to give you their mailing address and tell them to stop calling. Then send them a Certified Cease and desist with signature required letter telling them to terminate calling you on the telephone. Then they must go to the us postal system and put everything in writing. (Communications is not terminated...just their telephone harassment) They are no different than any other loan company/collector. They are a private business who must comply with the C&D. The avenue of the US POSTAL SYSTEM is always open for their use. - HimGosh, I hope Kegan and all of his AKSs' isn't their top public relations man. All of the little snide remarks and names he uses. He's done more harm than good. I certainly wouldn't consider doing any business with a company who has someone like him lurking around representing them.
- jj replies to unknownWho cares SHILL....whether it's Melnet, nelnet, or Melmac.....No body here does...
- Xx replies to diall it rightThat's a LIE, This company will keep calling until they are satisfied with the results!
- Xx replies to gospelRepublican
- Annoyed as hellNelnet is a debt collection agency contracted by the government, therefore YES the same rules apply to them for debt collecting. Yes they do harrass people. They have called 5 times in an hour after telling them to stop. They have the right person's phone number (which is NOT mine)..they told me to tell him to answer his phone when they call.. told them he is grown and I am not going to make him do anything.
- Caller: Nelnet
- I have eyes and I can read. replies to billI'm with you 'bill'! I don't understand what 800note's attachment to Nelnet, Student Outreach and University of Phoenix is, but it is certainly there. I'm thinking that there must be a family connection.
Anyway, even if 800notes won't make note of it, know that there are lots of people who see this and know what they are seeing.
Dude, you're not alone. A shill is a shill is a shill is a shill. - Ken| 1 replyThanks for letting me know who this is. They have absolutely no reason to call me. Blocked them....
- Caller: E8E9
- Blank| 1 replyThey are an educational bill collector. Their auto-dialer has been calling repeatedly for the last several days, using a variety of phone numbers: 855-720-8905, 888-486-4722, and 855-558-2617, and asking for various people who don't live here and never have. One has to wonder whether this may be a phishing expedition to drum up new business. They've called again since I asked to be put on their do-not-call list. We don't have any outstanding student loans. They need to just leave us the f*ck alone.
