- asdgasg replies to LindaEvery single text message is worth 500 bucks. Never erase them. Same with voicemail messages - if it has nothing to do with you or your kids - you can sue them. New case just filed in Phoenix - class action.
- GOGETEMI just found out that Nelnet has a class action suit filed against it. Crap - I erased all those text messages they left for someone else. Now I find out they could be worth 500 bucks each. Same with voicemails. Case filed in Phoenix, some Asian lawyer - your lawyer can find it from that. You have to keep the recordings and texts to prove your case and have no business with them at all - just a wrong number. They're supposed to verify before they start the blizzard of calls. Sign up!

- DUHThey are not collectors if you call them you don't have to make a payment they are contracted loan servicers trying to stop your student loans from being assinged to collections! IF it is a wrong number answer or call back they will remove it you could be a reference on an acct or a family member of a student! Excelent Customer service again they are servicers not collectors that is why the fair debt collections act does no apply to them!
- Caller: Nelnet
- DCSHave never had a student loan in my life....regardless as they state above, all debt collectors have to follow the same rules....file complaints for harassment with the ftc and if it gets bad enough send them a letter to their corporate address to stop calling "cease and desist" letter should do it.....I think they get their numbers also if you have ads on craigslist, etc....but you may need to put in a little time to get them to stop. Do your due diligence as a consumer and do it to protect you and your sanity.

800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

There are government websites where you can receive e-mail alerts for phone and internet scams. Even though they are government websites, they are very informative about these scams. They will remind you to NEVER give out your personal information to an unsolicited caller.

- MelandTamI don't understand why this company is calling the home I share with my husband 2 be. Neither one of us has outstanding school loans as we are both out of school and successful people. I would appreciate the calls ceasing. Telemarketers calling my home is very annoying, especially when they don't respond when I say hello.

- Kim replies to CarolLil trick that gets you out of all student loans if not disabled or something like I am. They put you in collections & start that harassing letters and calls? Send certified letter cease & desist notice. They receive that & anyone associated with them contacts you within ten business days after that, YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO PAY THEM A DIME and can sue them instead so don't sweat it. Block their numbers on your phone, send out legal letter, let them go ahead and break the law then you have won before going to court so is a case closed no big deal.
Constitution basically says education should be free so hell will freeze before I pay for same damn student loans and nothing they can do to me now. They broke the law already, my funds are offshore, am disabled anyway so F them. They harassed me long enough so time for them to sweat it out. I might sue for few million to take a world trip or something now.
