- AsdfThey keep calling my NextPlus number (free texting, but also has voice). I'm guessing the number came from some pool of old pre-paid numbers. I haven't answered, so I'll trust this site that it's a collection agency named Midland.

- Andy replies to Da ManThanks for this valuable information.
- DeirdreGood lord, are people always this rude... just got a call from some woman at this number who demanded to talk to the owner of the phone number. Since it's a new number that we bought just a month ago, I told her I owned it and she called me a liar and demanded to talk to the MAN who owns the phone contract...She said she was from Midland Credit and that if I was trying to protect my husband, and she called him a deadbeat, then I would also be sued by the state. Fortunately, we installed an app that records voice phone calls and records the IP address of the callers. I've also called the state attorney general's office here, and filed a complaint for harassment against Midland Credit. We owe them nothing, and the number we have is one where, if we get more calls like this, will be turned in for a new one, and hopefully won't be snakebitten.

- Full Metal Jacket replies to oh my gosh| 1 replyThe fact that you (the shrill shill) are reposting your "prove it" post under multiple names is proof in itself. Who is the most immoral, the criminals who prey on vulnerable populations to enrich themselves, or the clueless liars who go out of their way to cover them up? Hitler or the cheering minions who gave him his power? You, mister shill, are a mindless minion.
- Liam AThis Midland whatever keeps calling. I keep NOT answering. It's been years. Give up!

- DJ| 2 repliesThese scumbags have just started calling my number. There are NO LAWS on the side of the consumer!! The "DO NOT CALL LIST" has more loopholes than all the lawyers and politicians put together!! They are probably in cahoots with STELLAR collections. I am NOT in arrears. My bills are either paid off or up-to-date every single month ON TIME!! Just more loony-toons trying to coerce people into sending in money they don't owe. An answering machine is the best answer. Use it to screen calls. FRIENDS and RELATIVES will leave messages. All others can take a flying leap into the abyss!!! Good riddance to bad rubbish. Honest consumers are totally on their own when it comes to scams.

- KhreRiov-Ael-tRllaillieu replies to DJ| 1 replyThere is no loophole in the DNC for debt collectors. They fall under the FDCPA laws and not the DNC.

- Joe S replies to Coolbreeze15 march 23, 2015| 1 replyIf you call that number and tell them that they have the wrong number, they'll remove it. I did that and no more calls.
- CleverCalls beginning from Midland. Looks like PRA purchased a consumers debt from Asset in April 2015 and gave up this May. In California, time barred debts cannot be sold again after January 2015. Midland is in a pretty pickle here, because they cannot legally (SB233) buy this debt (Midland now owns Asset) this June. My phone call logs for the consumer date back more than four years, so the collection is time barred (SOL). No collection letter has ever come to my home, so the consumer remains unknown to me.
